Nestled within Aauris Hotel in Kolkata, Zyqa continues to redefine contemporary Indian dining with the launch of its thoughtfully curated new menu. Inspired by the word Zaiqa, meaning taste or flavour, Zyqa remains rooted in its philosophy of celebrating bold Indian flavours while presenting them through a contemporary lens. The newly introduced menu further elevates this vision, bringing together regional inspirations, comforting classics, and creative interpretations designed to appeal to the evolving palate of modern diners.
The new menu opens with comforting and inventive small plates that showcase Zyqa’s playful approach to Indian cuisine. The Dal Shorba, a flavorful lentil soup, presents a hearty broth infused with aromatic Indian spices, delivering warmth and rich traditional flavors, while the signature ZYQA Phuchka reinterprets the beloved street-side classic with avocado, molecular dahi, orange caviar, and tamarind for a vibrant burst of flavour and texture. The Rajasthani Dahi Vada offers soft lentil dumplings topped with chutneys and roasted cumin, balancing sweetness, spice, and tanginess effortlessly.

Adding a modern twist to familiar favourites are dishes like the Roomali Papad, and the Naan Taco. Vegetarian highlights continue with the Charcoal Edamame Tikki served alongside a fig kasundi dip, the crisp and flavourful Chukandar Ki Tikki, and the creamy, indulgent Malai Broccoli grilled in spiced yoghurt and cheese.
The menu also expands Zyqa’s signature tandoori and robust North Indian offerings. The Desi Ghee Tandoori Murgh brings spring chicken marinated in traditional Indian spices and slow-roasted in the clay oven, while the Mumtaz Tangdi features drumsticks stuffed with minced chicken and aromatic lemongrass. A standout addition is the Raan-e-ZYQA, a Lucknowi delicacy of whole leg of mutton, slow-cooked and roasted in the tandoor, offering a rich and celebratory dining experience.
For mains, Zyqa presents a balanced mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian classics. The Miloni Sabzi combines seasonal vegetables with fresh iceberg lettuce, while the Saag Paneer delivers comforting flavours through paneer simmered in a spiced spinach gravy. Meat lovers can indulge in the Gosht Boti Masala, where tender mutton botis are cooked in a rich masala layered with smoky spices. Seafood enthusiasts can opt for the Tawa Fish, seared with traditional brown gravy, or the indulgent Jhinga Biryani prepared with authentic Indian spices and fragrant long-grain rice.
One of the standout signatures on the menu remains the Zyqa Dal Bukhara, a rich and creamy house speciality that continues to be a guest favourite.
Complementing the menu is a thoughtfully curated beverage selection featuring cocktails and mocktails inspired by familiar Indian flavours. Signature cocktails such as the floral Nazaakat, the tangy Imli Jeera Mojito, the spicy Kachhi Keri Picanté, and the distinctive Zyqa Paan-tini bring a creative twist to classic ingredients, while refreshing mocktails like Tetuler Shikanji, Daab Lassi, and Masala Aam offer vibrant, flavour-packed alternatives. Together, they provide the perfect accompaniment to Zyqa’s contemporary take on Indian cuisine.
The meal concludes on a sweet note with comforting desserts like the colourful Tutti Frutti Sundae and the indulgent Nolen Gur Ice Cream infused with rich date palm jaggery, offering a distinctly regional finish to the dining experience.
With this thoughtfully expanded menu, Zyqa continues to strengthen its identity as a contemporary Indian dining destination where traditional flavours meet creativity, craftsmanship, and modern presentation. The new offerings invite guests to rediscover familiar Indian dishes in refreshing and elevated forms while enjoying the warm hospitality and refined ambience that define the Zyqa experience.
