    COCKTAIL NAME: Muraka Bageecha, The Muraka signature cocktail.

    About the cocktail: Muraka Bageecha (“Coral Garden” in Dhivehi, the Maldivian local language) was created as a signature cocktail for The Muraka, the World’s First Undersea Residence. The inspiration behind the signature cocktail is derived from the breathtaking coral garden Surrounding the master bedroom of The Muraka and extending to the resort’s house reef. Just like the Muraka Bageecha – with a blend of luxury – easy and simple to look at, but beautiful and with an intricate blend. Some of the ingredients in the cocktail are freshly picked from the resort’s Hydroponics garden. This cocktail perfectly represents the resident’s beautiful coral garden and pays tribute to the resort’s herb garden that is one of the first eco initiatives of the resort.

    RECIPE:

    •   45 ML Belvedere
    •   20ML Giffard rhubarb liqueur
    •   20ML MONIN Elderflower syrup
    •   15ML Fresh Lemon juice
    •   2 pc fresh pink grapefruit
    •   3 leaves fresh basil
    •   4 drops olive oil rhubarb bitters
    •   Orange cocktail perfume
    •   Bar Torch

    Cocktail prep METHOD:  Muddle fresh grapefruit, add basil and combine all the liquids inside the shaker, shake and fine strain over a Vintage Coupe glass, over ice Block

    Garnish: Dehydrated Lime Wheel, fresh basil leaves. Spray orange perfume through the flame over the drink and serve.

    Preparation: Orange Perfume

    •   30 ML Aperol mix 20 ML Cointreau and put into a spray bottle.

    Preparation: Olive oil rhubarb bitters

    •   Mix 20ML olive oil, 35ML Rhubarb bitters and put into a bitter bottle dripper.
