New Delhi, May 11, 2024: Wishes & Blessings organised the third edition of the fundraising concert, Jashn-E-Qawwali, held on May 10th at Kamani Auditorium, Delhi.

The event showcased mesmerizing performances by the internationally acclaimed Qawwali group, Niazi Brothers. Their soulful melodies captivated the audience throughout the concert, swaying to the power-packed performances ranging from traditional Qawwali tunes to popular Bollywood hits and original compositions by the Niazi Brothers. Some of the standout performances included renditions of timeless classics such as “Kun Faya Kun, Chaap Tilak, Bhar De Jholi and Damadar Mast Kalandar”.

The event was witnessed by a huge audience of more than 500 people, including the beneficiaries of various programmes of Wishes & Blessings NGO – Sahas–an upskilling programme for women, the street-to-school initiative, and the community kitchen.

“We are extremely overwhelmed by the turnout and the resounding success of Jashn-E-Qawwali,” said Dr Geetanjali Chopra, Founder and President of Wishes and Blessings NGO. “This marks the third edition of the fund raiser, with the previous two being immensely successful. The funds raised this year will directly contribute to our WB Rasoi programme, addressing the fundamental need for food among those in need. We are grateful to Niazi Brothers for their continued support and to everyone who attended and contributed for the cause”.

The funds raised from the event will support the expansion of the NGO’s new initiative, WB Rasoi, aimed at providing nutritious meals to a number of individuals in need. The NGO recently launched its first WB Rasoi in NOIDA, NCR.

“It was an honor to perform for such a noble cause,” shared Shahid Niazi, one of the artists from the Niazi Brothers troupe. “When we needed help they were the ones who helped us during our low phase and this was our time to give something in return. We are proud to be associated with Wishes & Blessings NGO for the past 3 years and we look forward to contributing more to the organization in future.”

The triumphant culmination of Jashn-E-Qawwali underscores Wishes & Blessings NGO’s unwavering commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of marginalized communities and exemplifies the power of music in fostering social change.

The event saw participation from multiple reputed brands such as Sunplast Electronics Private Limited, Ena J Singh, Rehab Masters Inc, Dixon, Tecno, itel and Powerspack. Paytm Insider was the platform through which the ticket bookings were made.
