New Delhi: Wagh Bakri Tea Group has announced a refreshed food menu at its tea lounges, titled ‘Rock & Roll’, aiming to blend traditional Indian flavours with contemporary café-style offerings. The update is part of the brand’s effort to appeal to younger consumers while continuing to serve long-standing patrons.
The revamped menu focuses on reimagining classic Indian comfort foods, with particular emphasis on the popular combination of chai and paratha. Traditional options such as Aloo Pyaaz and Paneer Parathas are now offered alongside new variations, including Chilly Cheese Paratha. Other additions include Shawarma Rolls, Schezwan Rolls and ‘Kulchozzz’ – dishes that integrate Indian flavours with international influences. A notable feature is the Apple Pie Paratha, served with ice cream, designed as a modern dessert interpretation with a social media-friendly presentation.

Sanjay Singal, CEO of Wagh Bakri Tea Group, told TW that the Wagh Bakri brand has successfully upheld its tradition and heritage while adapting to the evolving tastes of the modern generation. By continually innovating yet preserving the classic essence of India’s traditional tea, the company ensures guests experience both authenticity and freshness in every cup
According to Wagh Bakri, the menu update seeks to combine “legacy and youthful energy” while providing a balance between dine-in and delivery services to match evolving consumer lifestyles. The cafés have also introduced a livelier ambience to align with the new food offerings.
The menu launch event featured Chef Manjit Singh Gill, President of the Indian Federation of Culinary Associations, who described the updated dishes as “beloved staples reimagined” with café-style character while maintaining homestyle comfort.
Founded in 1892, Wagh Bakri Tea Group operates a network of tea lounges that showcase both the brand’s heritage and its contemporary approach. The latest changes mark a continued expansion of its café concept, aiming to deepen engagement with experience-oriented consumers seeking modern Indian dining formats.
