Mumbai-based artist and bureaucrat Vandana Krishna is presenting her latest collection, Reflections, at the Annexe Art Gallery, India International Centre, from November 25 to 30, between 11 am and 7 pm. The showcase features 32 works, primarily oil on canvas, with a few acrylic pieces, each exploring themes of introspection, emotion, and evolving identity.
The exhibition draws from Mumbai’s shifting urban landscape. Vandana captures the city’s glass towers, monsoon-soaked streets, coastline moods, and mirrored distortions that hold both movement and quietude. Her semi-abstract approach encourages viewers to look beyond the obvious and discover the poetry hidden in everyday scenes.

A self-taught artist with nearly two decades of practice, Vandana sees painting as a space for balance and mindfulness. Her work reflects the rhythm of a city in motion while offering moments of stillness. Influences from Van Gogh, Monet, Vermeer, Matisse, Klimt and Indian masters such as M. F. Husain and F. N. Souza are visible in her use of colour, form and emotion.
Reflections brings together the discipline of precision and the freedom of abstraction, presenting a body of work that mirrors both Mumbai’s character and the artist’s own journey. The exhibition is open to art enthusiasts, collectors and visitors looking to experience the interplay of urban life and personal expression.
