Uttarakhand government will make devotees visit Chardham online
Dehradun 13 May 2021:- Amid the growing case of Corona and keeping the safety of pilgrims at utmost priority, the Char Dham Yatra has been postponed this year by the state government. Respecting the sentiments of the devotees at this time of crisis, the Uttarakhand government is preparing to organize a Virtual Darshan of Chardham for the devotees. This will help people to do yatra by sitting at home.
In this regard, Tourism Minister Shri Satpal Maharaaz on Thursday discussed this with Honorable Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat to which he agreed on to do the same.
Tourism Minister Shri Satpal Maharaaz also spoke to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Devasthanam Board Shri Ravinath Raman and directed to arrange online darshan by issuing a letter.
Adding more in this he said, “Safety of the tourists is in our top priority as a result the state government has postponed the Chardham Yatra this year. However, respecting the spirit of the devotees, instructions have been given to make arrangements for virtual darshan of Chardham. This will allow pilgrims to see rituals from the area that are not restricted in the premises and perform aarti by being at their homes.”
Tourism Minister Shri Satpal Maharaaz also requested everyone to get vaccinated. He also requested everyone to follow the covid protocol to help in breaking the chain of coronavirus in the state.
