Thursday afternoon in early April, the mercury is already on the rise in the National Capital, the vibrant flowers lining the streets of Delhi are in full bloom, and I found myself in a hidden gem in the heart of Connaught Place called Café Hawkers. This cozy and romantic haven has quickly become a favourite among youngsters and millennials.
As soon as you step inside Café Hawkers, the well-thought-out interior and decor instantly transport you to a relaxed and tranquil ambiance. Despite being located in the busiest part of the city, this restaurant provides a peaceful and happy atmosphere, perfect for spending quality time with your loved ones.
However, the real reason for Café Hawkers’ rapid popularity is its elaborate menu, featuring popular world cuisines and authentic preparations. This is already my second visit here. Every dish I have tried at this restaurant has surpassed my expectations in taste, authenticity, and presentation.
Among the wide variety of offerings, there are a few standout dishes that I simply cannot resist. The Peruvian Chicken Kebab is a burst of flavours, while the veg mezze platter offers a delightful combination of Middle Eastern delicacies. The Spicy Gochujang Ramen Noodles provide a delightful kick, and no visit to this café is complete without sipping on their classic margarita mocktail.
Additionally, their Bruschetta, Chicken Tikka, and Spicy Paneer Toasts are all equally irresistible.
If you happen to visit Café Hawkers and overlook their pizzas, you would truly be missing out on one of their most remarkable items. Regardless of your choice, each pizza is a delectable blend of melty cheese and savoury toppings. It is impossible to leave this place without craving for another slice.
The upper floor of Café Hawkers is adorned with trendy lights and an equally appealing interior. The lovely bar counter adds a touch of elegance to the ambiance. They also offer delicious shakes that can transport you to a chocolate paradise, leaving your taste buds in awe.
If there is one particular item that I would call my favourite at Café Hawkers, it would undoubtedly be their mouthwatering lasagna. Each bite is a journey through rich flavours and satisfying layers. The love and passion put into every slice can be tasted, making it a must-try dish.
Even if you find yourself feeling full after indulging in the main course, missing out on their desserts would be a sin. The waffles, brownie with ice cream, and chocolate sundae are all divine choices that will leave you wanting more.
In the end, Café Hawkers has rightfully earned its place as one of my favourite restaurants in its genre in Delhi. The combination of delicious food, wide choices, comfortable and classy ambiance, and pocket-friendly prices makes it an unparalleled dining experience. Whether you are looking for a romantic dinner or a casual hangout spot, Café Hawkers is the perfect destination to enjoy great food and create lasting memories.
