Türkiye made a compelling mark at SATTE Delhi 2026 held at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, New Delhi. Turkish hoteliers and DMCs representing a wide range of destinations from Turkiye actively engaged with India’s leading tour operators, travel professionals, and industry stakeholders, facilitating meaningful B2B discussions and reinforcing Türkiye’s commitment to deepening its tourism partnership with the Indian market.

Türkiye’s participation was anchored by a distinguished high-level delegation, including H.E. Ambassador Ali Murat Ersoy, Başak Önsal Demir, Counsellor for Culture and Tourism Affairs at the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye, Kaan Kavaloğlu, President of the Mediterranean Touristic Hoteliers and Operations Association and CEO of Limak International Hotels, and Murtaza Kalender, President of the Istanbul Tourism Association and Founder of TravelShop DMC. A dedicated Türkiye Destination Promotion Panel further elevated the country’s presence at the event, offering Indian travel trade partners an in-depth look at Türkiye’s diverse offerings across leisure, luxury, weddings, and MICE segments, with a special spotlight on marquee destinations including Istanbul and Antalya.

The panel discussion reiterated Türkiye’s strategic positioning in the competitive Indian outbound travel market, with speakers highlighting the country’s unmatched diversity — from the timeless cultural heritage of Istanbul and the sun-drenched Mediterranean coastline of Antalya to world-class gastronomy and luxury hospitality.

Speaking at the international tourism fair, Ambassador H.E Ersoy underlined that Türkiye is no longer just a destination, but a global tourism phenomenon. He noted that in 2025 the country welcomed a record 64 million visitors and generated $65 billion in tourism revenue, reflecting its ability to offer a truly multi-layered travel experience — from the heritage of Göbeklitepe and the landscapes of Cappadocia to the vibrant lifestyle of Bodrum.

Ambassador H.E Ersoy emphasized the strong cultural affinity between Türkiye and India, stating that the relationship goes beyond trade and tourism, resting on shared values such as art, spirituality, craftsmanship, and hospitality. He highlighted the growing interest of Indian travellers in Türkiye, driven by a search not only for a holiday, but for meaningful experiences and stories. He also drew attention to Türkiye’s strong infrastructure, accessibility, and professional event management capacity, positioning the country as a leading destination for both leisure and business tourism.

Concluding his remarks, H.E Ersoy stressed that the partnership between the two ancient civilizations is evolving from simple visits to a deeper sense of connection, adding that Türkiye stands ready to build a new era of travel together.

Türkiye’s participation at SATTE 2026 reaffirmed its long-term commitment to the Indian market, with a clear focus on building robust trade partnerships, enhancing destination awareness, and offering Indian travellers an ever-expanding portfolio of world-class experiences.
