Beautifully illustrated with bright colors and geometrical patterns, Basohli Paintings are considered the first school of Pahari paintings. Originating from the town of Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, the style developed under the patronage of Raja Kripal Pal and is an unconventional and rich piece of artwork.
