While traditional wildlife safaris often focus on large mammals, Tipai by Wildlife Luxuries brings a new way to experience the forest during the monsoon. With luxury travellers seeking meaningful experiences that form a connection to the place, India’s forests are being rediscovered through a different lens. A growing number of travellers are beginning to appreciate the quieter, often-overlooked stories unfolding beneath the forest canopy, and to observe the species that emerge with the rains.

Tipai by Wildlife Luxuries’ Monsoon Micro Safari—a seasonal experience that shifts the focus to the forest’s smallest and most fascinating ecosystems, led by Tipai’s resident naturalists and explores the remarkable biodiversity that comes alive with the rains. Guests can venture through forest trails to discover colourful amphibians, insects, spiders, fungi, ferns, reptiles, snails, crabs and seasonal flora—species that often remain unnoticed during conventional wildlife safaris but play a vital role in the forest’s ecological balance.

Designed for wildlife enthusiasts, photographers, families and young explorers, it is an engaging opportunity to learn about nature through observation and exploration where every step reveals another layer of biodiversity and encourages guests to slow down.

This reflects a broader shift in travel behaviour, where immersive experiences, learning-led journeys and mindful exploration are becoming important, particularly among families looking to introduce children to nature in engaging and educational ways.

Beyond the forest, guests can cycle to the property’s organic farm and vegetable garden, showcasing sustainable farming practices. A traditional bullock cart ride from Marathwakadi to the property offers a glimpse into local life, while the half-day local tour introduces guests to nearby attractions including Pandherdevi Temple and Andharwadi Village. Guests can also enjoy a supervised fishing experience at the Lotus Pond.

The property’s culinary experiences continue this connection with the place through DIY pizza-making sessions at Wadi Restaurant using fresh local ingredients, curated wine and cheese tastings, cocktail and mocktail making workshops, and intimate private dining experiences set amidst the surrounding wilderness.

Located on the edge of Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary, Tipai by Wildlife Luxuries is a 15-key boutique luxury retreat built around a philosophy of regenerative hospitality and extreme localisation. Constructed primarily using rammed earth and local materials, the retreat blends contemporary design with deep environmental sensitivity, offering travellers an immersive experience rooted in nature, community and place.

For the monsoon season, Tipai has introduced a range of Monsoon Stay Packages across its Forest Villas and Pool Residences. Available for weekday and weekend stays, the packages include accommodation, all meals, selected beverages, valet and laundry services, alongside a choice of curated experiences including the Monsoon Micro Safari. Wildlife safaris continue to be offered separately, subject to weather conditions.

With the Monsoon Micro Safari, Tipai offers a compelling reminder that sometimes the forest’s most extraordinary stories are also its smallest.
