“Omny”—derived from the word omnipotent, signifying great and limitless influence. As Celebrity Chef Vicky Ratnani himself explained, the idea was to channel culinary power and global inspiration onto every plate. The philosophy resonated through the space—here was a kitchen that aimed not only to serve but to influence, to tell stories and spark adventures for the tastebuds.
The menu at Omny Kitchen truly lives up to this lofty ambition, as it is inspired by authentic flavors and signature dishes from around the world. Vicky, whose passion for travel is legendary, has curated a gastronomic journey that brings the “World on my Plate” to dazzling life. Across the menu, every dish is a story, an experience, a memory of distant markets and the lanes of unknown cities.
Vicky put it best: “If you want to know the cuisine and culture of a place, start by visiting the local marketplace. Today’s guests are much more knowledgeable and adventurous about different cuisines, and that only elevates our challenge—and our joy.”
At Vicky’s suggestion, I began my meal with the Smoke and Vine: mezcal pickled grape—a bold tribute to the road less traveled. The smoky, tart, and slightly sweet flavors awakened my palate and summoned the anticipation of journeys yet to come, perfectly setting the tone for the feast ahead.
next course brought a bounty of flavors: a refreshing ceviche of seabass and tuna, radiant in citrus and delicate heat Alongside, the Aloo Tukk Bravas—a smart, cross-continental twist combining crispy potato medallions with the piquancy of bravas sauce, somehow merging Mumbai, Madrid, and more, in every. The Lotus Stem Pakodas were a delightful surprise—crunchy, earthy, and gently spiced, offering a playful homage to comfort food with a global flair.
From the mains, the Lamb Chops were simply sublime—tender, smoky, and adorned with a subtle sauce that echoed Mediterranean warmth and Indian fire. The ‘Wings Cola Yaki’ were sticky, savory, and impossible to stop eating—an umami-laden, tongueickling ode to fusion done right.
Yet, the showstop for me was the Yakitori of King Oyster Mushrooms. Skered and grilled to perfection, these mushrooms brought forth an unexpected meatiness and delicate earthiness, elevated by a smoky glaze.
The staff—well trained,, and enthusiastic—explained each dish and its origin with infectious pride, making the entire meal a journey, not just of taste, but of storytelling.
By the dessert arrived, I was brimming with anticipation. The Tiramisu Baba—a decadent fusion—was sheer. Imagine an airy, spongy baba cake, decadently soaked in rich coffee, topped with luscious mascarpone ice cream; celebration of Italian passion and delicate French technique, on a single plate.
And, just I thought the journey was over, the specially curated coffee arrived—robust, aromatic, the perfect coda to a cosmopolitan adventure.
What Omny Kitchen promises, it delivers in spades. Here taste, travel, and timeless elegance converge. It’s more than just dinner—it’s an invitation to explore the world, one bite at a time, through the eyes and travels of Chef V Ratnani. I, for one, can’t wait to return for another adventure.
