    New Delhi, May 9, 2025: The Westin Gurgaon, New Delhi announced the appointment of Chef Oliver Bagsic as the new Expat Chef – Teppanyaki at EEST.

    A native of the Philippines, Chef Oliver brings over a decade of culinary experience, with deep expertise in Japanese cuisine. He began his career as a Sushi Chef, mastering traditional techniques, and evolved into a celebrated Teppanyaki Chef—known for delivering high-energy, immersive live-cooking performances with finesse and flair.

    Over the years, he has contributed to some of the most respected Japanese dining establishments, including Irori, Hide Yamamoto, Yakimix, and Nihon Bashitei. His rich experience spans from sushi artistry to contemporary grill techniques, all rooted in a deep understanding of Asian culinary heritage.

    At EEST, Chef Oliver will specifically spearhead the Teppanyaki section, curating engaging and flavourful dining experiences that blend precision cooking with performance. Guests can look forward to his standout creations, including Phuket-style Sea Bass with Lemongrass, Truffle Yakimeshi Fried Rice, Togarashi-Spiced Tenderloin with Yakiniku Sauce, and the indulgent Rock Lobster Tail in Chili Oyster Sauce.

    What truly sets him apart is his charismatic personality—a true entertainer at heart, Chef Oliver is known for his infectious energy at the grill, often surprising guests by breaking into a song while cooking, making the dining experience as delightful as the cuisine itself.

    In addition to his culinary prowess, Chef Oliver is deeply committed to mentorship and fostering creativity within his team—values that closely align with the hotel’s focus on wellness, innovation, and personalized hospitality.

    Along with à la carte Teppanyaki offerings, guests can also enjoy thoughtfully curated five- and seven-course set menus—available in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.
