Korea Tourism Organisation and PVR organised a special event on Korean Experience
Watching the record-breaking South Korean all-girls group Blackpink performing on the big screen of PVR would always going to be special, but when you top it up it with the special screening of “BLACKPINK – The movie” – the behind-the-stage stories and the five year’s journey of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa- it has to be a memorable experience. Korea Tourism Organisation ( KTO) in association with PVR ltd have indeed made it a very special Korean experience for the Hallyu fans in Delhi NCR on 4th December , 2021.
A social media contest was launched for the Hallyu Lovers of Delhi NCr region from 17th Nov – 22nd Nov and was promoted jointly on KTO and PVR Vasant Kunj Director’s Cut social media platforms .30 lucky winners were selected and rewarded with the invitation to this special screening and Korea experience. The screening of the movie was followed by the K-food experience and a special K-pop photo opportunity attended by contest winners, travel and entertainment media partners, and social media influencers. With the prevailing travel restrictions and uncertainty, tourism worldover have been exploring new and innovative ways to reach out to the people and travel lovers across the globe. KTO has been taking a number of initiatives like collaboration with multiple brands for online events ( KXpereince) , social media contests and displaying Korean products at discounted offers on the Indian ecommerce platforms etc.
Mr. Y. G. Choi, Director Korea Tourism Organization , New Delhi , who was personally present to welcome the audience, commented “ thanks to the rising popularity of kpop and k-dramas there has been a huge increase in the overall awareness about South Korea as a destination, its food and its culture. We hope to capitalise on this new found love for Korea among Indians and convert that into actual travel. Once travel resumes, we will be actively promoting the filming sites of famous Korean films and dramas as tourist spots for Korea fans to visit in the future.”
