The Palate Festival is returning with improved version after 3 years
The largest food festival in the Indian subcontinent, Palate Fest, is returning with a new, improved version in partnership with Mirchi Live. The two-day food festival, which will be held in the newly selected Aerocity Grounds at GMR Aerocity, is suitable for all ages with a variety of culinary delicacies. The festival will commence on 4th February and conclude on 5th February from 11 am to 10 pm.
“This year is going to be extravagant as it will bring thousands across the capital territory together at a larger, more conveniently located venue, to cherish the cultural tenacity of the region, and will allow local food start-ups, makers, creators and performers to get an extraordinary platform to showcase their talent, enthuses Ruchi Sibal, co-founder & Director, Cibology Pvt. Ltd.
In order to make it convenient for residents of both Delhi and Gurgaon to attend this year’s edition of the festival, the new, exquisitely landscaped location at Aerocity was chosen. Not only that but getting to the venue is hassle-free, thanks to the nearby Aerocity Metro station. The much-anticipated family event brings together the best restaurants in India, food lovers, chefs, entertainers, and musicians, along with a cornucopia of food sampling, entertainment, and an all-around palate-pleasing event.
The festival’s culinary focus will be complemented by musical acts that will appeal to the diverse crowd. The famous pair Midival Punditz will perform an electronic dance music extravaganza on 4th February, followed by a performance by contemporary artist Jasleen Royal. On 5th February sufi masters Salman-Zaman will be performing post which playback singer Benny Dayal will perform. Greenways Nursery will be curating art installations combined with a planting project to make for a great day out with family and friends.
The food festival will have stalls set up by leading names in the culinary space, including from the kitchens of five star hotels in the city, like the Hyatt, Soulinaire by IHCL, Ambassador and more.
The lasting Delhi winters make for a great time to have delicacies from the coal fired ovens of Koyla Kebab, Spice Market and The Great Kebab Factory, all whom will be present at the venue, and for those with a taste for more continental cuisine, Burgerama with their triple patty burgers and Conosh are there for the tasting.
With the popularity of Asian food growing in the capital, the Palate Festival directors bring us Wok In The Cloud, Kylin, Art Of Dumpling, Basil and Lime and more. For everyone with a sweet tooth, there are a host of bakeries, old and new alike; Red Moon Bakery, Bloom Café and Basque Cheesecake, to name but a handful, present at the fest. The ever popular Masala Story will also be there, as well as coffee connoisseurs, Blue Tokai.
