The Leela Palace New Delhi has long been recognised as a custodian of India’s cultural and artistic heritage- an address where craftsmanship, tradition and contemporary expression are embraced with quiet elegance. In this spirit of honouring what is pure, rooted and meaningful, the Palace introduces Turya, a private-label wine crafted exclusively for and by The Leela Palace New Delhi in collaboration with Grover Zampa Vineyards. As a tribute to Indian terroir, Turya reflects the Palace’s confidence in India’s winemaking potential and its commitment to showcasing homegrown excellence to a global audience. Turya is not just a wine; it is an expression of the experiences and hyper-personalised guest journeys the Palace aims to create.

Much like the philosophy of winemaking itself- where wine is shaped first by nature and merely guided by human hands, Turya reflects a journey of joining, not directing, the rhythms of the land. It is a reminder that creating wine is not simply an act of production, but an act of community: a way of giving back to the soil, the people and the rich potential of Indian terroir, while shaping an expression that binds us together in shared pride and purpose.

Turya, drawn from the Sanskrit concept signifying transcendence, is a celebration of purity, intention and the bliss that emerges when human artistry meets the rhythms of nature. Turya marks a milestone in the Palace’s evolving narrative of cultural stewardship and innovation. It becomes an integral addition to the Palace’s distinguished suite of signature experiences, curated to embody its vision of refined, homegrown luxury.

Crafted from the finest grapes grown on the serene slopes of Nashik and aged in French and American oak barrels, Turya presents a trio of expressive wines that reflect the nuances of soil, climate and craftsmanship. The Chardonnay–Viognier blend captures the quiet elegance of Dindori’s terroir with floral, citrus and creamy oak undertones. The Turya C Reserve Tempranillo 2015 offers a bouquet of berries, tobacco and leather; rich, earthy and reminiscent of timeless tradition. The Turya Private Barrique Reserva Shiraz 2019, a vintage shaped by Dindori’s distinct character, offers a graceful interplay of dark fruit, warm spice and dark chocolate, crafted exclusively for refined palates at The Leela Palace New Delhi.

Turya will be introduced across the Palace’s acclaimed culinary destinations, with availability extending to the rooms as part of the hotel’s curated wine portfolio. Guests can savour it through bespoke pairings in Le Cirque, MEGU, The Library Bar, Jamavar and The Qube. Each setting presents Turya through its own distinct lens- whether through elevated European pairings, contemporary Japanese artistry, or the depth of Indian cuisine- transforming the wine into a layered, sensory journey.

With its exclusivity and distinctive profile, Turya becomes more than a wine; it stands as a coveted takeaway for guests seeking a refined memento from their visit to The Leela Palace New Delhi.

Sharing the overarching vision, Preeti Makhija, General Manager, said, “Turya represents far more than an addition to our wine portfolio- it embodies our commitment to elevating the guest experience through thoughtful craftsmanship. At The Leela Palace New Delhi, we believe in creating offerings that are rooted in authenticity and shaped with intent. Turya is a reflection of that philosophy, bringing together our culinary vision, the artistry of winemaking and a deep respect for nature. It is an expression of who we are as a Palace- deeply connected to our community, our land and the evolving tastes of our guests.”

Through Turya, The Leela Palace New Delhi extends its commitment to presenting India’s cultural and creative excellence on a global stage. The wine embodies the Palace’s philosophy that luxury is most meaningful when grounded in origin and expressed with craftsmanship. It offers guests not just a new label, but a new way to experience India- elevated, authentic and exquisite in every detail.
