    The Fern Hotels & Resorts | Series by Marriott has announced the appointment of five seasoned hospitality professionals to managerial roles across its properties in Bengaluru, Chikmagalur, Jim Corbett, Kolkata, Vijayapura and New Delhi. With extensive industry experience and a proven commitment to operational excellence, these appointments reinforce the brand’s focus on delivering outstanding guest experiences and strengthening its stronghold in sustainable hospitality.

    Rajdeep Singha- General Manager, The Fern Residency Bengaluru, Seshadripuram, Series by Marriott

    With 23 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Rajdeep Singha has been appointed as the General Manager of The Fern Residency Bengaluru, Seshadripuram, Series by Marriott. In his new role, he will oversee hotel operations and planning, ensuring seamless functioning across departments while upholding the brand’s service and sustainability standards.

    Rajdeep brings with him a solid foundation in managing budgets and revenue management, supported by extensive experience in operational leadership. Prior to this assignment, he was associated with Aloft Whitefield (Starwood Hotels & Resorts) and Lemon Tree Hotels & Resorts, where he played key roles in enhancing operational efficiency and guest satisfaction. His leadership approach is rooted in strategic planning, team coordination and a focus on financial performance, enabling him to drive consistent growth and operational excellence in his new role.

    Jayant John- General Manager, UG The Fern Resort & Spa Chikmagalur

    With 27 years of experience, Jayant John brings strategic hospitality leadership to his new role as General Manager at UG The Fern Resort & Spa Chikmagalur. He is responsible for leading the resort’s pre-opening activities, overall operations, guest experience, profitability, strategic planning and the implementation of brand standards while guiding high-performing teams.

    His professional journey spans leadership roles at prominent hospitality brands including Sterling Hotels & Resorts, Le Meridien and Grand Hyatt etc. Jayant specializes in pre-opening project management, operational excellence, revenue optimization and guest experience enhancement. His contributions have been widely recognized, earning accolades such as Best Manager of the Year and Best Department of the Year etc.

    Shiv Kumar- General Manager, Debu’s The Fern Resort & Spa Jim Corbett, Series by Marriott

    With 24 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Shiv Kumar joins as the General Manager of Debu’s The Fern Resort & Spa Jim Corbett, Series by Marriott. His distinguished career includes leadership roles with some of the most renowned hospitality brands such as The Claridges, IHG and ITC etc.

    He has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership across Food & Beverage, hotel operations and guest service excellence. His strong operational foundation is complemented by expertise in sales management, brand standard implementation and high-performance team leadership. In his role as General Manager, he is responsible for strategic planning, elevating guest satisfaction and driving the continued growth and operational success of the property.

    Gaurav Goswami- General Manager, The Fern Residency Kolkata

    With over 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including nine years as a General Manager, Gaurav Goswami has been appointed as the General Manager of The Fern Residency Kolkata. He brings a strong foundation in Front Office operations, Administration and Revenue Management, along with extensive leadership experience across hotel categories. Prior to joining The Fern Hotels & Resorts, Gaurav served with distinction at the Al Nahda Group in Oman.

    A recognized industry professional, he has been honoured as East India’s Best General Manager – 2024 and featured among the Top 30 General Managers in India. He is also the author of a Hotel Management book and has published two international research papers.

    Naushad Ansari- Operations Manager, The Fern Residency Vijayapura

    With 18 years of hospitality experience and deep expertise in Rooms Division and Revenue Management, Naushad Ansari steps into the role of Operations Manager at The Fern Residency Vijayapura. He will oversee hotel operations, enhance guest satisfaction and lead strategic initiatives aimed at driving revenue growth and service excellence.

    Naushad has previously held key leadership roles at Hotel Anand International, Bodhgaya and Hotel Temple Tree, Shirdi. In these roles, he consistently contributed to operational efficiency and guest experience enhancement, showcasing his strong commitment to service quality and performance improvement.

    Himmat Shekhawat- General Manager, Nanak Niwas Beacon New Delhi, Paharganj

    With over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Himmat Shekhawat has been appointed as the General Manager of Nanak Niwas Beacon New Delhi, Paharganj. In this leadership role, he is responsible for hotel operations, budget management and achievement of gross operating profit while ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction.

    Himmat’s career is rooted in Food & Beverage operations, where he has built strong expertise in service excellence and operational efficiency. He has been associated with leading hospitality brands such as Hyatt Hotels and Sarovar Hotels & Resorts across multiple locations. His journey also includes significant contributions to pre-opening projects, where he successfully established operational frameworks and guided teams to deliver high-quality results.
