The Taiwan Expo 2025 is set to take place from September 25–27 at Bharat Mandapam (Pragati Maidan), Hall 1 in New Delhi. Focused on four key themes—Smart Manufacturing, Smart Technology, Green Innovation, and Wellness Fiesta—the expo will feature 107 Taiwanese companies showcasing cutting-edge products and solutions. This year’s event highlights the growing synergy between Taiwan’s advanced manufacturing, ICT, and green technologies and India’s strategic initiatives like Digital India, Make in India, and the IndiaAI Mission.
At a pre-expo press conference held on September 17, representatives from organizations such as the Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in India, India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), FICCI, and ELCINA emphasized the importance of this platform in fostering bilateral cooperation. According to Keven Cheng, Deputy Director of TAITRA, India’s vast domestic market, skilled workforce, and strategic location make it a vital hub for Taiwanese enterprises navigating global supply chain shifts. Since its inception in 2018, the Taiwan Expo has become a cornerstone for Taiwanese businesses seeking to expand in India, with collaborations thriving in semiconductors, electronics, and smart machinery.
Yu-Chi Chen, Executive Director of the Economic Division, highlighted that Taiwan-India bilateral trade reached a record USD 10.6 billion in 2024, while over 250 Taiwanese companies now operate in India—a threefold increase since 2017. This underscores the deepening industrial integration between the two nations.
The expo will spotlight innovations from global leaders like Advantech, Zyxel, and IPEVO, alongside unique food offerings at the Taiwan Select Food Pavilion, featuring products from A-Sha Foods, HOYA Next Meats, and DR. Diary Co., Ltd. Held concurrently with World Food India, the event aims to tap into India’s booming consumer market.
As geopolitical dynamics evolve, Taiwan and India are strengthening ties in technology and manufacturing. The Taiwan Expo 2025 not only supports new entrants into the Indian market but also reinforces partnerships for shared growth, innovation, and economic prosperity. For travellers and entrepreneurs alike, this event promises a glimpse into the future of Indo-Taiwanese collaboration.
