New Delhi, India – Sun Siyam Resorts, a leading homegrown Maldivian hospitality group, has officially launched a dynamic new brand identity, signalling a significant evolution in its guest offerings and market strategy. The transformation, dubbed the “brand (R)evolution,” was showcased to a gathering of senior industry figures, media, and esteemed partners during a high-profile event held in New Delhi on November 13.
The unveiling follows the initial announcement of the brand revamp in September 2025 and aims to strengthen the connection between the company and its global community of guests and partners. This refreshed look and philosophy mark a bold new chapter for one of the Maldives’ most recognisable resort operators.
Tailored Experiences and Strategic Focus
A core component of the brand overhaul is the introduction of three distinct collections: Luxury, Prive, and Lifestyle. This tiered structure is meticulously designed to cater to the diverse motivations and desires of every traveller, ensuring a personalised and purpose-driven stay.

The resort group’s leadership team has been actively engaging with key international partners post-launch. Recognizing India as a pivotal market, the New Delhi event served as a crucial platform to articulate the renewed brand philosophy and commitment to enhanced guest experiences.
Deepak Booneady, CEO of Sun Siyam Resorts, shed light on the strategic thinking behind the (R)evolution. “The essence of our brand is rooted in the remarkable experiences we deliver,” Booneady explained. “As part of this exciting journey, we have meticulously developed 15 new signature experiences, all focused on deepening the emotional engagement and forging more meaningful bonds with those who choose to stay with us.”
He further emphasized the company’s approach, stating, “We are not in the business of simply selling accommodation; we are in the business of curating complete, holistic holiday experiences. This brand (R)evolution reinforces that dedication, infusing every guest touchpoint with innovation, genuine warmth, and a renewed sense of mission.”

Celebrating Growth
The event also provided an opportunity to reflect on the company’s substantial trajectory. Rakesh Gupta, the Account Director for India, proudly highlighted the resort’s history. “We are celebrating 35 years of Sun Siyam Resorts,” Gupta noted. “What began as a modest travel venture and a single 68-room property has flourished into a major international group, now boasting over 1,500 rooms across six resorts spanning the Maldives and Sri Lanka.”
The celebratory gathering concluded with a successful networking session, fostering collaboration and enthusiasm for the brand’s exciting future.
