Smash Guys has opened its first-ever outlet in Indiranagar, bringing its indulgent smash burgers to the heart of Bengaluru. Founded by Nikhil and Abhijit (AB) Gupta, the masterminds behind The Pizza Bakery and Paris Panini, Smash Guys combines classic American diner techniques with Indian sensibilities and global experimentation to create a one-of-a-kind dining experience.

The brand’s journey began with a year-long exploration of global food cultures, identifying a gap in India’s dining scene for a true gourmet burger experience. With Chef Adithya Kidambi, co-founder of Mossant Fermentary, on board, the team meticulously crafted a menu that prioritizes ingredient integrity, technique, and bold flavors. From sourcing the perfect meat grind to mastering the Maillard reaction on a flat-top grill, every detail reflects a commitment to craftsmanship and innovation.

The menu features a variety of burger styles, including Smash Classics like the Oklahoma Onion Smash, bold creations like the Buff Wellington, and vegetarian options such as the Magic Mushroom and Korean Fried Paneer. Beyond burgers, guests can indulge in loaded fries, truffle wedges, crispy onion rings, and decadent desserts like Old Monk Chocolate Mousse.

Speaking on the launch, Co-founder AB Gupta said, “We wanted to take what we think is the secret sauce to being successful and put it to the test. From scratch. Taking all our learnings from building our previous two brands, we wanted to bring an elevated, old-school American diner experience to the city with Smash Guys, and put it on a path to becoming a 100cr ($12 million) brand.”

Chef Kidambi adds, “Smash Guys was built on the belief that burgers don’t need gimmicks—they need balance. For us, it’s always been about the details—the right sear, the right sauce, the right bite. This menu is the result of months of iteration, collaboration, and a genuine love for the format. It’s honest food made with intent, and we’re proud to finally share it in a space that feels like ours. Our goal was to make every bite worth a repeat.

Designed by Studio Camarada, the space mirrors the brand’s personality: confident, fun, and focused on substance. Live kitchen counter seating, diner-style booths, and a casual wine bar create a welcoming atmosphere.
