Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Tuesday, July 24th, 2023: SAUDIA is gearing up for an exciting and busy Summer 2023 as it implements its operational plan to accommodate the surge in travel demand. With a remarkable 10% increase in seat capacity for both domestic and international routes compared to the same period last year, SAUDIA aims to offer more than 7.4 million seats during July and August. This extensive capacity boost will be supported by over 32,400 flights, reflecting a 4% increase, to ensure smooth operations and efficient travel experiences for its valued passengers.

In response to the growing demand for international travel, SAUDIA is elevating its service by providing over 4.2 million seats on international flights, representing a significant 16% increase. Additionally, the airline is introducing over 14,800 flights, marking a 15% increase in the number of flights to popular international destinations. On the domestic front, SAUDIA will offer over 3.2 million seats through 17,600 flights, catering to travelers exploring the country during the summer season.

The operational plan for Summer 2023 is closely monitored by a dedicated team from Saudia Aerospace Engineering Industries (SAEI) to ensure its seamless execution and evaluate its performance. With an experienced leadership team at the helm, including Captain Ibrahim Koshy, the CEO of SAUDIA, the airline is well-prepared to handle the challenges posed by peak seasons and events such as the Hajj pilgrimage. Comprehensive procedures and facility preparations have been put in place to ensure a successful and hassle-free summer season.

SAUDIA’s commitment to excellence and innovation in the aviation industry has earned it a firm reputation globally. The airline’s fleet of 164 world-class aircraft has garnered recognition for its exceptional service, comfort, safety, and reliability, leading to prestigious industry awards. Recently, SAUDIA proudly climbed 11 positions in the “SKYTRAX” airlines ranking of the World Best Airlines 2023, securing the 23rd spot based on traveler votes. This achievement was celebrated at the 54th edition of the Paris Air Show 2023 “Le Bourget” in Paris, France.

Earlier this year, SAUDIA Group made a significant announcement, adding 25 new international destinations to expand its network to over 100 destinations worldwide. This strategic expansion aims to provide travelers with more options and enhance connections between Saudi Arabia and the rest of the world. As a member of the global SkyTeam alliance, SAUDIA’s guests can enjoy access to 1,000 destinations in 170 countries and benefit from over 790 first-class and business-class lounges worldwide, further enriching their travel experiences.
