As we step into Sambarpot, the courteous staff greet us with a warm welcome, setting the tone for a truly memorable dining experience. The ambiance is nothing short of a feel-good oasis, with comfortable furniture that seamlessly blends traditional and modern elements, creating an inviting atmosphere to savor the culinary delights.

The menu at Sambarpot is a carefully curated fusion of authentic South Indian dishes and balanced innovations, offering a delightful journey for your taste buds. Upon being seated, we were immediately soothed by the chilled glass of kattapa tamarind soda and the refreshing filter cold coffee, providing a much-needed relief in sharp contrast to the scorching heat of the Delhi summer outside.

We began our culinary adventure with the Andhra Special Thali, where each item was meticulously explained by the kind staff. Every dish on the thali bore distinct flavours of authenticity, catering to the true connoisseurs of South Indian cuisine. The highlights included the flavorful pickle, the tantalizing gun powder (one of my personal favorites), the aromatic rice, the delectable dry veg, the comforting dal, the traditional sambar, the refreshing curd chilli, the satisfying papadam, and the soothing buttermilk and gundi paan.

We were also recommended to try the Jackfruit Biryani and the Sambarpot special Poori Sagaoo, and they did not disappoint. Both dishes were excellent, showcasing the restaurant’s commitment to delivering authentic and innovative flavours.

However, the true standout of our dining experience was the Unicorn Masala Dosa, a signature dish at Sambarpot. The delicate yet crispy dosa, combined with the flavorful masala, was an absolute delight.

But the culinary journey wasn’t complete without the special porota kurma, a dish that truly encapsulates the essence of Sambarpot’s culinary prowess.

As we spoke to the owner of the restaurant, Mr Subba Rao Sunkara, we were informed that Sambarpot caters to all age groups, with a balanced approach to innovation and authenticity. Their signature dishes, such as the Unicorn Dosa, Dahi Vada, and other crowd-pleasers, have earned them a loyal following, making this establishment a must-visit for those seeking an authentic South Indian dining experience.

Sambarpot is a true gem, where the fusion of traditional flavours and modern sensibilities creates a dining experience that is both satisfying and memorable. Whether you’re a seasoned connoisseur or a newcomer to South Indian cuisine, Sambarpot is a place that will leave an indelible mark on your culinary journey.
