SaffronStays is putting its heart where the paws are with the launch of Junglebrooke, an animal-first retreat in Kolad, Maharashtra, owned by Ganesh Nayak, the founder of Animals Matter To Me. Designed as a cageless sanctuary where strays get the love of pets & pets come first, and humans are welcomed as companions, Part proceeds under the sustainability program funds the rescue, care, and rehabilitation of animals.

Spread across an acre within the lush AMTM Kolad campus, the property is a first for India’s conscious travellers. Built with recycled furniture sourced from Film City sets, raised for open landscapes, this property is rooted in a philosophy that says “Pets Over People.”

Junglebrooke offers eight spacious cottages, eco-conscious design, and direct access to a caring rescue environment. Through guided tours, interaction with the animals, yoga and reading sessions in the natural surroundings, guests can connect, reflect and contribute. Every stay welcomes two guests with one pet at no extra cost, offering complimentary pet meals, pool time, yoga sessions, karaoke, and much more.

From dogs and cats to cows, pigs, ducks, rabbits, and geese, every animal here now lives a calm, cared-for life. A 10,000 sq. ft. cage-free cattery hums with contented purrs, while in the gaushala, gentle giants graze without fear. So imagine this: mornings spent feeding a rescued calf, afternoons splashing in the infinity pool with your dog, evenings watching the sunset with a cocktail in hand, while your pet dozes at your feet. Nights lit by stars, surrounded by laughter, love, and the quiet knowledge that your holiday is changing lives

Home to over 400 animals, the AMTM has long been a haven for rescued dogs, cats, cows, pigs, ducks, and rabbits across Kolad and Mumbai. The initiative has been supported by industrialists & philanthropists like Nawshir Mirza, Cyrus Mistry and the Tata Group, enabling the expansion of facilities and strengthening the rescue mission.

“Junglebrooke is our way of giving a voice to the voiceless, those with paws, claws, wings, and whiskers. It’s built as a space where pets can truly be themselves, and humans are happy companions in their world. A place where dogs can run free, cats can nap under trees, and their people can unwind right alongside them. Every stay becomes a small step toward a kinder world for animals and for us,” shares Devendra Parulekar, founder of SaffronStays

Through this partnership, SaffronStays continues to grow its mission of meaningful hospitality, where sustainable tourism heals.
