Lodhi, a luxury hotel in the capital, has appointed Ritesh Arora as Director of Human Resources. Having spent almost three decades in the hospitality industry, Arora brings huge experience in HR strategy, talent management, and organizational development to the position.

As Director of HR, Arora will be responsible for the overall human resources function of the hotel, ranging from recruitment and employee training to performance management and policy development. His emphasis will be on linking HR practices to the operational objectives of the hotel while creating a positive work environment.

Arora’s background is in major leadership positions with major international hospitality brands. Previously, he worked as Director of Human Resources for Hilton Hotels Worldwide, where he directed HR functions across several properties. Before joining Hilton, he was Head of Human Resources for The Oberoi Hotels Ltd., where he worked on talent sourcing, leadership growth, and optimizing the workforce.

Abhimanyu Singh Lodha, General Manager of The Lodhi, said, “We are delighted to have Ritesh join our leadership team. His strong knowledge of HR dynamics in the hospitality sector will play a crucial role in furthering our employee engagement and operational effectiveness.”

Arora is a Post Graduate Diploma in HR & Industrial Relations holder from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies and a Commerce Bachelor’s degree holder from Delhi University. He has also undergone an Executive Professional Development Program at IIT Bombay’s Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management.

Upon his appointment, Arora stated, “The Lodhi is known for its dedication to excellence, and I am excited to join the team to further enhance its talent ecosystem and workplace culture.”

The hospitality sector has witnessed growing focus on strategic HR management, especially in luxury hotels where staff experience translates into service quality. Arora’s appointment demonstrates The Lodhi’s emphasis on upholding high standards in workforce development and organizational culture.

With his background in large-scale HR functions and employee engagement initiatives, Arora will be instrumental in defining the hotel’s human resources policies in the years to come. His leadership will be pivotal as The Lodhi continues to ride the changing needs of the hospitality industry.

The appointment comes at the time when the sector is experiencing a renewed emphasis on personnel retention and post-pandemic skills development. Arora’s experience in training and performance management will be instrumental in overcoming these challenges while ensuring efficient HR processes at the property.

The Lodhi, a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, is renowned for its high-quality service and elegant hospitality. The hiring of Arora to its management team highlights the hotel’s dedication to investing in human capital as a key to its operational success.

As he assumes his new responsibilities, industry observers will be watching how his strategies influence employee satisfaction and organizational growth at one of Delhi’s most distinguished luxury hotels.
