    Residency Group of Hotels Clinches Gold at SICA

    Incredible Chef Challenge 2025, organized by South India Culinary Association (SICA) and World of Hospitality (WOH) marked as a monumental feat for the culinary talent at the Residency Group of hotels.

    SICA 2025 that was between June 12-14, invited participants across the region from different hotels, restaurants, and bakeries, as well as catering college students across the Southern part of the country. The Residency Group of Hotels bagged the best hotel team overall, along-with 1 gold, 3 silver, and 4 bronze medals along-with 3 Merit in Pastry and Plated appetizers.

    Beaming with pride on the success, Ajeeth Janardhanan, Culinary Director at The Residency Group of Hotels said, “It is a moment of utmost pride and joy for the talent in-house. The team has poured their hearts into every dish, every detail and to see it all come together – it’s overwhelming… My team is like my family and this win is a testament to the countless hours of hard work and the passion we all share for great food.”

    The three-day-long culinary challenge had a plethora of categories to choose from. Categories, such as artistry in wedding cake, pastry showpiece, bakery showpiece, pre-plated local Karnataka cuisine, live cooking, fruits and vegetable carving etc.… were included in this edition to bring out the innate talents, skills, and application knowledge of culinary professionals.

    Judged by an esteemed panel of SICA chefs and industry veterans, the competition served as a platform to promote culinary excellence and foster professional growth.
