Set along the tranquil banks of the Kosi, Ragas by the River returns for its third edition from 20–22 March 2026. Conceptualized as an exclusive riverside residential festival, it brings Indian classical music into a destination known for its wilderness. With the theme “Celebrating Legacies,” the festival honours the gharanas and experts who continue to shape the country’s rich musical tradition, while thoughtfully adding a cultural dimension to Corbett’s evolving narrative.

This year’s edition opens with a historic moment: the Ragas by the River Legend Award will be presented to Padma Vibhushan and Grammy-winning sarod exponent Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, alongside fellow living inspiration Padma Vibhushan Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia.

    The three-day festival features:

    • Rare multi-generational sarod ensemble Sadaa-e-Sarod with Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Ayaan Ali Bangash, Amaan Ali Bangash, Abeer Ali Bangash and Zohaan Ali Bangash
    • Remembering the Divas by Kaushiki Chakraborty
    • Evenings with iconic artistes including Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan
    • Performances by multi-talented folk musician and singer Kutle Khan
    • Grand finale with Grammy award winner Rakesh Chaurasia × Taufiq Qureshi and renowned singer Hariharan

Presented by The Riverview Retreat, with Taj Corbett Resort & Spa as hospitality partner, Ragas by the River continues to stand apart by integrating classical arts with nature. This season proudly welcomes TATA AIA Life Insurance and TATA Capital as Patrons.
