New Delhi: Polo Hotels & Resorts has unveiled its new brand architecture at an exclusive media showcase held at Meghalaya House in New Delhi, signalling a major new phase of growth for Northeast India’s largest hospitality group.

Founded in Meghalaya in 1991, Polo Hotels & Resorts has built its identity over more than three decades around the culture, landscapes and spirit of Northeast India. Known for its destination-led stays and intuitive service, the group has long positioned itself as a brand offering authentic and immersive hospitality experiences.

The restructuring marks both a period of expansion and a sharper brand identity tailored to the preferences of today’s traveller, who increasingly seeks meaning, uniqueness and authenticity over conventional luxury. At the event, the company presented its renewed vision as a curator of enriching travel experiences that combine modern comfort with the distinct character of the Northeast and beyond.

Polo Hotels & Resorts also announced ambitious expansion plans, with multiple new hotels in the pipeline across nearly every state in Northeast India. Among the upcoming projects is Planters Lodge in the Dooars, West Bengal, an all-bungalow resort set amid tea gardens and designed to offer guests an indulgent, authentic experience inspired by the planter lifestyle.

As part of the new brand architecture, the group highlighted four flagship properties in its portfolio:

    – Polo Towers Shillong – a 51-key property blending city energy with Meghalaya’s hill-station charm
    – Polo Resort Cherrapunji (Sohra) – a 58-key nature-led luxury retreat overlooking Seven Sisters Falls
    – Polo Floatel Calcutta – a 58-key floating hotel offering a distinctive stay on the Hooghly River
    – Polo Hotel Agartala – a 100-key hotel inspired by Tripura’s heritage

The event also showcased Polo’s portfolio of signature experiences, including scenic breakfasts, wellness rituals, cultural immersions, destination dining and local explorations designed to connect guests more meaningfully with each location.

Speaking on the occasion, Deval Tibrewalla, CEO and Director, announced the restructuring and outlined the group’s vision for the future. The leadership team described the rebrand as “not a reinvention, but a revelation” — a clearer expression of a brand that has always known its identity and is now ready to share it more widely.

Deven Tibrewalla, a passionate music lover and traveller, shared that the brand reflects his life, experiences and spirit of exploration.
