Planning for Goa? Check the latest rule book:
The state government of Goa has framed new quarantine rules, revealed by the Airports Authority of India recently. According to a long and detailed list of revised guidelines, any traveler can visit the state with COVID-19 negative certificate issued by an ICMR-recognized lab. The test should not be older than 48 hours prior to the arrival in Goa. Alternatively, a passenger can choose to undergo the test upon arrival at a cost of INR 2000 and would be required to go into paid institutional/home quarantine till the result is out. A tourist is also supposed to have the record of their pre-booking in an authorized hotel/ tourist accommodation in Goa.
If the tourist tests positive, the accommodation unit will act as per the rules issued by the state health department. All bills related to the quarantine, tests etc. shall be paid by the tourists. Institutional quarantine is mandatory for symptomatic passengers till test result is available.
