As the holiday season approaches, Outletcity Metzingen invites guests to experience an extraordinary festive season filled with exclusive shopping events, magical Christmas markets, and the grand opening of three new stores – Belstaff, Balmain and Rituals.

New Store Openings: Belstaff, Balmain, and Rituals Join Outletcity Metzingen

Outletcity Metzingen continues to enhance its impressive portfolio of over 170 premium brands with the addition of three global names. The newly opened Belstaff boutique brings the iconic British brand’s timeless outerwear and motorcycle-inspired fashion to style-conscious shoppers.

Meanwhile, Balmain—the legendary Parisian fashion house—has launched its first outlet store in Germany at Outletcity Metzingen, offering fashion enthusiasts a chance to explore the brand’s bold designs and structured silhouettes at exclusive prices. Completing the trio, Rituals offers a serene escape with its luxurious home, bath, and body products inspired by ancient Eastern traditions.

“These exciting new additions reflect our ongoing commitment to offering guests an exceptional mix of global brands and premium experiences that make Outletcity Metzingen a truly world-class destination,” said Regine Schöllkopf-Pinakidis, CEO of OUTLETCITY AG.

Celebrate the Season: Lights On Event and Christmas Activities

The festive spirit officially began on 7 November with the annual Christmas Lights On celebration at Hugo Boss Square. Families and guests gathered for a magical evening as Santa Claus delighted children with gifts and photos, followed by the spectacular illumination of Outletcity’s Christmas tree and festive lights, accompanied by celebrity guests and seasonal treats.

Throughout December, guests can look forward to Santa’s Post Office, where they can send festive greetings to loved ones or letters to Santa on beautifully designed cards. Santa himself will also make special appearances every Friday and Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., spreading joy and holiday cheer throughout the outlet.

Explore the Region’s Magical Christmas Markets

Beyond Outletcity, the surrounding region transforms into a fairytale of festive lights and markets that capture the essence of a German Christmas:

    • Stuttgart (30 minutes from Metzingen) – One of Germany’s largest and oldest Christmas markets, spread across the illuminated city centre from Königsbau and the New Palace to the medieval Old Castle. Over 300 stalls feature handmade crafts, gifts, and culinary delights, with free evening concerts adding to the festive atmosphere.
    • Esslingen (40 minutes from Metzingen) – A medieval-themed Christmas market with 180 torch-lit stalls offering handcrafted wares, hearty foods, and live performances by jugglers, fire-eaters, and musicians. Visitors can even try traditional crafts or warm up in a medieval hot tub.
    • Ludwigsburg (1 hour from Metzingen) – Known for its elegant Baroque setting, Ludwigsburg’s Christmas market enchants with angelic light displays, over 150 stalls selling local crafts and delicacies, and festive music from carol singers and choirs.

Discover more Christmas markets in the region to perfectly complement your luxury shopping experience at Outletcity Metzingen, where world-class boutiques, sparkling lights, and festive cheer come together to create an unforgettable holiday experience.
