    There is no better time to pack your bag and hit the road than the month of Spring. There is enough chillness in the air minus  the biting cold. It is that time of year to finally plan your long pending dream tours. The vast natural diversity of India has given us ample scope to explore new offbeat locations away from the hustle and bustle of touristy destination. 

    Let us indulge on a journey to some of the not so familiar places with breathtaking natural beauty and full of adventures : 

    1. Gulmarg, Jammu & Kashmir  India

    gulmargSurrounded by snow-covered mountains, lush green meadows, deep ravines, evergreen forested hills and valleys, Gulmarg is one of the most famous tourist destination in India. Thrill seekers can be found skiing here in winters while snow lovers can get their hearts filled nearly round the year.

    2. Gurez, Jammu & Kashmir  India

    GurezAn alpine Shangri La with dazzling fields of wildflowers, the beauty of the picturesque valley of Gurez rivals the Swiss Alps. Beautiful and weird, idyllic and surreal, it is a deeply-isolated, serene and verdant place. Gurez arguably is the most picturesque piece of land having an abundance of mesmerising beauty which enthrals its visitors. It would be genuine to call the place a fairyland. A paradise for explorers, naturalists, trekkers and tourists alike, Gurez valley in north Kashmir is a fertile 80-km cleft carved through the Himalayas by the mighty Kishanganga River. The untouched pristine beauty and magnificent landscape mesmerise the visitors. Gurez remains cut off from the rest of the world for more than seven months after the onset of the winters.

    3. Bir Billing, Himachal Pradesh, India

    ParaglidingIf you plan on paragliding in India, Bir is your place. Host to the annual World Paragliding Championship, Bir offers picturesque Himachal terrain as the backdrop for the gliders. Apart from this, trekking is also very famous across its hills. Amidst the adventure, one can also find peace in the Buddhist monasteries famous here for spiritual studies and meditation. Nature enthusiasts can visit Deer Park and Bir Tea Factory for some mental relaxation

    4. Machil, Jammu & Kashmir  India

    Machil is a charming valley sheltered in the east of Kupwara District, Jammu and Kashmir. Covered in lush green forest, it is an ideal destination for group picnickers and trekkers. Rest houses are available for a comfortable stay, and to spend some time in this mesmerising place.

    Machil has some of the most beautiful and breathtaking meadows, and it is surrounded by the mountains of Nuwan. Machil consists of 15 villages and is 52 kilometers away from the main town of Kupwara. Machil lies nuzzled in the most northwestern part of the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
