Vijayawada, September 2023: Araku Valley has become a must-visit destination for tourists in recent years. This hill station is famous for its picturesque countryside, mesmerizing waterfalls, sprawling coffee plantations, and delightful climate. The valley is also renowned for its mouth-watering coffee, vibrant tribal culture, and unique tribal cuisine, making it an unmissable culinary destination in India. To bring this rich heritage of tribal cuisine of Araku to the gourmands of Vijayawada, Novotel Vijayawada Varun has curated a culinary showcase, “Araku Ruchulu.” This exclusive dining experience pays homage to the values of the region’s cuisine and will be held at their all-day dining outlet, Food Exchange, from September 15th to 24th, 2023, every day for dinner.

The Tribal cuisine of Araku Valley is famous for its use of raw spices and less or no use of oil alongside the cooking techniques and ingredients that add to the green initiative of sustainable cooking. Executive Chef Suraj Kumar Sahoo along with his Sous Chef Sreenivas who hails from the region itself has created an extensive menu using the right amount of oil, water, and raw spices to bring out the authentic flavors of the signature dishes locally available back in the valley. The menu represents the authentic recipes of tribal cuisines such as Bamboo Chicken, Bongu Rayalla Pulao, Kouju Pitta Roast, Chinta Chigiru Royallu, Uppu Chapa curry, and more. The restaurant will also serve authentic Araku Coffee, which is naturally grown without the use of machines and chemicals, ensuring the sustainability of the cultivation.
