    No Mandatory Covid Negative Report For Uttarakhand

    The Uttarakhand government has removed the rule of mandatory negative Covid report for tourists coming to Uttarakhand from outside states. Also, they are no more restrictions for staying in hotels and home stays for not more than two days.

    Now any tourist can come to visit Uttarakhand without a Covid investigation report, but it will be mandatory to register on the Smart City Dehradun website. The new system will come into effect from 23 September. This decision of the government has raised a new hope among the people associated with the tourism industry.

    On Tuesday, Chief Secretary Om Prakash has issued an order to do away with the earlier mandatory rule for negative report of the Covid investigation for tourists and to lift the ban of booking a two-day stay in the hotel and home stay.

    Corona in Uttarakhand has seen 874 new infected in 24 hours while the number of people recovered is 1107.

    In the order issued earlier to prevent corona infection, the tourists were allowed to enter the state only after conducting antigen test, negative report of RT-PCR Covid test from ICMR recognized lab for tourists coming from outside states.
