Kolhapur, July 9, 2024: Barbeque Nation at Sayaji Kolhapur, hosts the Nizami Food Festival “Rivaayat-e-Zaiqa” from July 5th to July 14th, 2024 during the dinner session. This culinary extravaganza will take guests on a gastronomic journey through the opulent flavors of the Nizami courts.
The Nizami Food Festival celebrates the rich and flavorful cuisine of the Nizams, the former rulers of the historic princely state of Hyderabad in India. The festival aims to showcase the royal culinary heritage of the Nizams, characterized by aromatic spices, rich flavors, and exquisite dishes.

Highlighting the expertise in Hyderabadi cuisine, Chef Mujeebur Rehman, with over 13 years of culinary experience including 7+ years in the Sayaji family, has been instrumental in crafting the festival’s menu. Chef Rehman specializes in Nizami and Awadhi cuisines, particularly renowned for his expertise in non-vegetarian items and kebabs.
The décor theme of the Nizami Food Festival will revolve around “Savouring the Royal Flavours of Hyderabad.” Guests will be greeted by a welcome arch and passage, along with cut-outs of iconic Hyderabadi monuments, creating an immersive experience. To enhance the authenticity of the festival, the staff at Barbeque Nation, Sayaji Kolhapur, will be dressed in Hyderabadi-style uniforms, adding to the overall ambiance.
