Drained out with Extreme Summer Temperature?

Longing to Escape to a Relaxing Holiday?

    Desperately Needed a Small Break?

A Holiday with Luxury and Experience?

A Wellness Retreat that Soothes Body and Soul?

Too much to ask for? Not at all, thanks to the surprising property called Namaste Dwaar. This hidden gem, situated just a short drive from the national capital, offered everything I had been seeking and more. As I embarked on this journey, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of excitement and curiosity about what this place had in store.

    Namaste Dwaar: A Surprising Oasis

The drive through the NH 9 highway was a pleasant one, and as we approached the magnificent building, its heritage-inspired architecture immediately caught my eye. The grand doors, or “Dwaars,” that surrounded the property, welcomed us with open arms, and we were greeted by the melodic Rajasthani folk songs by the wonderful couple from the Churu district of Rajasthan and the refreshing embrace of a glass of chilled sugarcane juice.

    Exploring the Enchanting Interiors

The lobby’s interior design and ambiance set the tone for our experience. The traditional Indian heritage was evident in the frames, walls, paintings, and furniture, creating an undeniable aura of cultural richness. We were then guided to our suite, which was a delightful surprise. Each of the four suites on the third floor was themed after a distinct traditional art form, from Kalamkari of Andhra Pradesh to Gond of Madhya Pradesh, Pichwai of Rajasthan, and Kanta from Bengal- seamlessly blending the region’s cultural heritage with modern comforts.

    Embracing the Serene Surroundings

As we stepped out of our suite, the tranquility of the campus enveloped us. The gentle caress of the cool breeze, the melodies of a cuckoo, and the expansive green fields that stretched out to the horizon instantly rejuvenated my senses. It was hard to believe that this serene oasis was just a stone’s throw away from the bustling city and adjacent to one of the busiest national highways in India.

Not a moment later we got freshened and stepped outside our “gond”, stood right there Vijay with a warm smile. Our exploration of the property was guided by him, the all-rounder asset of Namaste Dwaar. A wellness expert by profession, Vijay had taken on numerous additional responsibilities, and it was easy to see why everyone loved him. His warm hospitality and dedication to the resort left a lasting impression on us.

    Indulging in Authentic Dining Experiences

Dining at Namaste Dwaar was an experience in itself. From the Chakra and Machaan, which merged the ancient wisdom of chakras with the ethereal allure of the Machaan, to the Satvik Kitchen which was in tune with the resort’s wellness and organic lifestyle, each culinary offering was a testament to the property’s commitment to authenticity and quality.

    Discovering the Architectural Brilliance

Vijay showed us the campus post-breakfast. As we wandered through the meticulously designed campus, we couldn’t help but admire the work of the late Pradeep Sachdeva, the visionary architect behind Namaste Dwaar. The resort seamlessly blended traditional aesthetics with modern luxury, with each of the 45 rooms carefully crafted to provide a harmonious balance of comfort and eco-friendly elements. The rustic interiors have been crafted with natural materials and thoughtful lighting, adorned with handcrafted objects, and set with furniture and bedding of exceptional comfort. Expansive windows frame picturesque vistas, while spacious balconies offer moments of serenity amidst nature’s symphonies. A private four-bedroom villa and pet-friendly amenities ensure a memorable stay for all.

A Sanctuary for Corporate Events and Weddings

Namaste Dwaar’s versatility was evident as we witnessed a group of corporate travellers engaged in a meeting in the well-appointed conference room. The resort’s serene landscapes and lush surroundings made it an ideal location for corporate events and activities. We also learned about its popularity as a wedding destination, with event spaces that could accommodate both intimate and larger gatherings, complemented by an experienced event planning team.

The Wellness Journey at Namaste Dwaar

No visit to Namaste Dwaar would be complete without indulging in the world of authentic and traditional wellness treatments, managed by trained professionals from across India. The resort’s world-class spa offered a range of Ayurvedic treatments, massages, and therapies, all designed to promote relaxation and rejuvenation in the tranquil setting of the therapeutic farmlands.

    Immersing in the Serene Experiences

As the day unfolded, we found ourselves captivated by the various experiences Namaste Dwaar had to offer. From a rejuvenating spa session and warm bath to a leisurely stroll through the well-stocked library (It was so pleasing to observe quite a few Indian and Japanese youngsters reading and exploring books even in these days of the overwhelming digital world), a friendly game of carom moment was a true delight for the senses. As the white-throated kingfisher took off from the branch of the banyan tree near the swimming pool towards the green field, we witnessed the fascinating sunset beyond the field with a cup of aromatic tea right inside our room.

Embracing the Essence of Rural India

Walking up to the duet of the Oriole and a peacock was a bliss that nothing can beat. Vijay had another surprise stored for us before we could say our final goodbye. A tractor ride down the village road. The scent of fresh sugarcane and the sight of farmers resting under mango trees, village kids playing with cycle tires transported us to the heart of rural India. It was a humbling reminder of the forgotten scent of the soil and a testament to Namaste Dwaar’s commitment to celebrating the essence of the countryside.

    Bidding Farewell with Cherished Memories

As we reluctantly bid farewell to Namaste Dwaar, the parting gifts of a tulsi plant and jaggery from the hotel’s fields left us with a sense of deep appreciation for the authentic experiences we had encountered. This hidden gem had exceeded all our expectations, offering a haven of tranquility, luxury, and wellness amidst the bustling surroundings – a true oasis in the heart of Northern India.

“At Namaste Dwaar, we are proud to offer more than just accommodation—we provide an immersive journey into India’s rich cultural tapestry. Our property seamlessly blends traditional aesthetics with contemporary luxury, creating a charming ambience that resonates with every guest. In addition to our authentic wellness offerings, we have numerous unique activities such stargazing with a Dubsonian telescope, tractor rides into the sugarcane fields, handicraft lessons from local artisans and birdwatching. From personalized services to curated experiences, we strive to make every guest feel welcomed and valued.”
