Kadari Art Gallery presents Muse: The Making Room, a solo debut exhibition by MuseLAB. Reflecting on the two decades of friendship between the designers and co-founders Huzefa Rangwala and Jasem Pirani, the month-long exhibition brings together the practice’s works across architecture, interior and design together under one roof.  It celebrates the creative practice itself, the vision, the process, the results, and the human relationship that has shaped the studio’s journey from a two-person practice into a multidisciplinary design voice.

Art and architecture have always been intertwined, and this exhibition grew from that shared lineage. Supraja Rao, founder of Kadari Art Gallery, recognized in Huzefa and Jasem’s 20 year collaboration a natural reflection of the gallery’s vision. The milestone also invited the duo to reflect on how their studio has evolved, and how they have grown together as collaborators.

Muse: The Making Room is built from this instinct to revisit, reveal and realign. The exhibition is not a retrospective showcase in the traditional sense, instead, it is an invitation to step inside the space between process and play where the studio’s language has been shaped. Inside the gallery, architectural and interior works sit in conversation with furniture pieces and products. Sketches, 3D architectural models, concepts, trials, errors and instinctive detours, reveal how ideas evolve rather than arrive fully formed. It also encourages young designers to see design with whimsy and wonder.

The exhibition pays attention to the many forms the practice’s work has taken over time, yet it also highlights, as Jasem explains, “the values that have remained constant such as joy, curiosity, wonder and the freedom to experiment.” “With this exhibition,” adds Huzefa, “our purpose is not only to display our work but to inspire in our own small way. We take our practice seriously but we also hold on to play because that is where ideas breathe and grow. By not taking ourselves too seriously, we allow humor, surprise and warmth to enter our spaces and products.”

Muse: The Making Room also becomes a reflection on partnership as much as on the practice. It celebrates the creative chemistry that has shaped MuseLAB (2012) and MuseMART (2015). It honours the trust, alignment, friendship that has made Huezefa and Jasem’s design voice possible, marking a studio that has grown through shared intent rather than individual pursuit. Through this exhibition, the duo offers a clearer understanding of what has guided their journey and what continues to anchor their work today. And in doing so, they hope to pass on a spirit of curiosity, courage and imaginative possibility to students, peers and design enthusiasts.
