Moustache Group of Hotels has launched Moustache Select in Mohanchatti near Rishikesh, strengthening its Select presence in Uttarakhand and expanding its Rishikesh footprint beyond the main town. Located in Mohan Chatti, the new property brings the brand into a quieter part of the wider Rishikesh region, offering travellers an offbeat stay experience while remaining connected to the destination’s main circuit. With this launch, the Moustache Group of hotels now has seven Select properties in Uttarakhand and 10 properties in the state across Hostels, Select and Luxuria.

The launch reflects how traveller preferences in Rishikesh are evolving. Rishikesh continues to draw travellers for its spiritual landmarks, yoga and adventure appeal, while there is also growing interest in stays that offer more space, calmer surroundings and a stronger connection to the landscape. Set in Bairagarh, the property is located 24.9 km from Tapovan and the main city centre. The wider Mohan Chatti belt is known for camping, adventure activities, yoga, meditation, rafting and birdwatching. It also gives travellers access to nearby attractions such as Neelkanth Mahadev Temple and Garud Chatti Waterfall, while landmarks like Lakshman Jhula, Ram Jhula and Triveni Ghat remain part of the larger Rishikesh circuit. Designed as a slow-living retreat, the property brings together nature, comfort and experience away from the rush of the city.

Abhishek Khandelwal, Co-Founder and Director, Moustache Group of Hotels, said, “Rishikesh is no longer a one-format destination. There is the energy of the main town, and then there is the quieter side of the region that many travellers now actively look for. Mohan Chatti gives us the chance to serve that second need better. It offers space, greenery and a slower pace, while still keeping guests close enough to the larger Rishikesh circuit.”

The property offers 23 keys across five room categories and includes amenities such as free private parking, a restaurant, shared lounge, terrace, garden, game room, free Wi-Fi, power back up, room service, 24-hour front desk support, concierge service and breakfast options. The stay is further shaped by bohemian-inspired interiors with artistic details, earthy textures and décor-led touches, while rooms overlook a large central open ground designed for relaxation, gatherings and outdoor experiences. The outdoor areas include seating spaces, a large swimming pool, a small fish pond and a bonfire area. Breakfast and dining setups have also been designed to let guests enjoy fresh mountain mornings and candle-lit evenings under the open sky.

With Moustache Select Mohan Chatti, Moustache Group of Hotels is expanding its presence in Rishikesh by adding a quieter, more nature-led stay experience beyond the main town.
