Iconic to the Indian subcontinent, monsoons are probably the most enchanting season and surely the best time to explore Rajasthan. The otherwise sunny skies get enveloped with dark clouds and a thin breeze swirls in most parts of the state. It is the time when semi-arid plains and hills adorn a lush green cover, making the view all the more spectacular. The rains bring to life various seasonal springs and waterfalls of the Aravali hill range that stretches through the state.

    The breathtaking beauty

Every year the favored season attracts numerous visitors to the state and even though the arrival of foreign tourists was averted for a couple of years due to onset of the COVID but the number of overseas travelers is now back to pre-pandemic levels, with the visitors from neighboring states are expeditiously travelling to Rajasthan for a vacation. The hill sites of Udaipur and Rajsamand districts and areas adjoining the forests of Sariska and Ranthambore have been pulling enthusiastic visitors who are eager for an escapade from their home confinements.

Capivating sites of Alwar and Banswara

Alwar is a city that endures the advantage of being near to NCR along with being one of the oldest cities in the state, the city homes exquisite royal palaces and forts that reflect as true remnants of its glorious past, coupled with this is a spellbinding lake in the heart of the city. The Pandu Pol Temple that is in the vicinity of Sariska tiger reserve is open for tourists and worshippers, with the endearing Tiger Safari at Sariska along with the breathtaking beauty of its outskirts getting much revealed during the monsoon season, where most of the tracks have also been opened up for exploration. Another place in the state that is a paragon of nature’s beauty during monsoons is the Banswara district: the lakes and natural etches here provide an unrivaled experience for out-of-towners travelling to the southern part of the state. The trend of tourist influx is on the rise since the recede in pandemic and infections post the last wave and also with the consistent endeavors of the state government to keep Rajasthan on the top pinnacle as a tourist-attracting state.

The scenic locations of Rajasthan are as well attracting tourists as they offer sufficient space that allows visitors to enjoy their visit whilst keeping a due social distance. Each district of the state adorns various attractions that are rich in historic, cultural and ecological wealth. Thus, the visitors not only have multiple options to choose from, but this also helps in avoiding overcrowding at the venues.

Rajasthan offers very safe travel during this season with rare chances of a landslide or flash floods that are otherwise a common thing in the mountainous regions.

    The Inebriating Drives

The monsoon season is a succulent time to drive into Rajasthan by road as the sightseers can relish the scenic beauty that casts a spell alongside the streets and the interior regions of the state while being in their vehicles. Mostly, Rajasthan offers very safe travel during this season with rare chances of a landslide or flash floods that are otherwise common things in the mountainous regions.

The monsoon season is a staple time for traditional community gatherings by the local residents of Rajasthan, these gatherings known as ‘Goth’ are often celebrated with the native cuisine ‘Dal Baati Chuma’. Thus the season is a palatable time to catch a glimpse into the local traditions and relish the rich food heritage of the state in the amusing weather.
