The restaurant’s name itself carries a heartfelt meaning. “Mabruk,” translating to Mubarak or Congratulations, symbolizes celebration, a fitting reflection of the restaurant’s philosophy of celebrating the cuisine, culture, and stories of the Bedouins and the Levantine region through food and hospitality.
Leading the culinary experience is Chef Jihad El Chami, fondly known as “Chef Mabruk,” whose culinary journey spans over three decades across Lebanon and the Gulf countries. Having helmed Mabruk kitchen for the last 19 years, Chef Jihad possesses a deep understanding of both authentic Lebanese cuisine and the evolving preferences of Indian diners. His expertise has also led to thoughtful adaptations such as Jain offerings, making the cuisine more inclusive without compromising on authenticity.
Sharing his thoughts on the new menu, Chef Jihad El Chami said, “Lebanese cuisine is all about simplicity, generosity, and soulful flavours. With this new menu, we wanted to preserve the authenticity of traditional recipes while presenting them in a way that resonates with today’s diners. Every dish has a story, and we want our guests to experience the warmth and heritage of Lebanese culture through every bite.”
The menu features an extensive selection of signature dishes that showcase the diversity and depth of Lebanese cuisine. Guests can indulge in the Hummus Platter, featuring artisanal variations including classic, black bean, corn & jalapeño, and avocado hummus served with warm pita bread, or savour the indulgent Hummus Bil Laham topped with sautéed minced lamb and pine nuts. Vegetarian diners can enjoy the comforting Pumpkin Kibbeh, while meat lovers can relish the richly flavoured Meshwi Mishakkal, a mixed grill platter with chicken, lamb kafta, and grilled vegetables.
Other standout offerings include the refreshing D’Jaj Meshwi with Avocado Salad, featuring tender meshwi chicken served cold over avocado in a lemon-tahini dressing; Jawaneh D’Jaj Bil Kozbara, crispy chicken wings tossed in a vibrant lemon and coriander sauce; and Laham Khashkhash, flavourful minced lamb skewers prepared in a traditional Middle Eastern style. Seafood lovers can also indulge in the Spiced Squids, where baby squid is marinated in sumac and cumin before being fried to a crisp golden perfection, showcasing the bold and diverse flavours of Lebanese cuisine.
Complementing the culinary experience is an inventive beverage program curated by mixologist Swapnil Shinde, where every cocktail is inspired by Middle Eastern flavours, regional ingredients, cultural memories, and storytelling. The menu features signature creations like the Saffron Negroni, a bold tequila-based cocktail infused with saffron, Campari, and citrusy sumac notes; Ice Spice, a warm whisky-based concoction inspired by cinnamon chai and nostalgic winter evenings; Tropical Heat, a vibrant tequila-based cocktail influenced by mango season with hints of chilli, coriander, and fresh mango pulp; Nuts & Cheese, a silky gin-based cocktail layered with pistachio, lime, and mint foam; and Green Mirage, a refreshing contemporary cocktail that creatively blends vegetables with refined mixology techniques.
