Leisure Hotels Group (LHG) marks a significant milestone at The Riverview Retreat, which was established at the turn of the millennium in 2000, introduced all villa-style suites nestled along the banks of the Kosi River. Today, it stands as an experiential wildlife resort set against a lush forest backdrop, with the gushing river flowing alongside, spread across 10 acres of serene wilderness.
To commemorate this special occasion, the Group unveiled its newest offering — The Sanctuary Suites, a thoughtfully designed block of 18 spacious suites that elevate the resort’s legacy into a new era. With this addition, The Riverview Retreat now stands at 110 keys, making it one of the largest Resorts in the Region. LHG continues to play a defining role in shaping Corbett’s tourism narrative, from pioneering the region’s early luxury resort in 1993 to building the most diverse portfolio of experiential resorts.

Thoughtfully designed for travellers seeking elevated comfort with a deeper sense of place, the 18 Sanctuary Suites span 925 sq. ft. and open into an expansive foyer and living areas. The aesthetic draws from Uttarakhand’s cultural and natural identity, with earth-toned interiors, warm woods, natural fabrics, and understated references to Buksa weaving, Avani-inspired dyes, and Aipan motifs offering an environment that feels both rooted and contemporary.
Each suite features a private forest or river-facing sit-out, walk-in wardrobe, rain and hand shower enclosure, double vanity, and premium bath amenities. Guests staying in the Sanctuary block also enjoy access to an exclusive, temperature-controlled pool set against a backdrop of lush foliage that creates a cocoon of calm within the wilderness.
Enhancing the experience is the Gurney House Deck, a signature feature offering scenic views paired with a thoughtfully curated menu.
