    KTO & MAKEMYTRIP COME TOGETHER TO BRING ‘SOUTH KOREA K-UIZ’ CONTEST FOR TRAVEL LOVERS!

    A month long all India quiz contest will have 300+ winners with a chance to win a free trip to South Korea! * Last few years have seen a tremendous rise in the popularity of the ‘K-Wave’ in India which includes K-Drama, K-Movies and K-Pop. To capitalize on this growing trend, Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) New Delhi office and MakeMyTrip have collaborated to create a special ‘South Korea K-UIZ’ to engage customers and revive interest for international travel to South Korea. The contest will run on MakeMyTrip’s website, m-web and mobile application platform for the 1st round where up-to 300 participants will get a chance to win exciting travel souvenir from KTO. The 1 st round winners will also qualify for a more comprehensive quiz from with the final winner will win a ‘free trip to South Korea for two’*! Runner up and second runners up get to win exciting Samsung smartphone and smartwatch respectively. The quiz will comprise of multiple choice questions and will test the participant on their knowledge of South Korea in the field of general awareness, geography, travel, food and entertainment. To keep the contest challenging, multiple sets of the quiz has been designed so that all participants don’t get the same questions. Scoring will be done on the basis of correct answers and time taken. While kicking of the online contest, both parties had the following to say: “I am extremely pleased to collaborate with MakeMyTrip for this quiz challenge as it gives us access to the largest community of travel lovers in India. While watching K content online, people I India have been introduced to many aspects of Korean life, food, iconic landmarks and attractions. This quiz is a fun way to test their K-knowledge!” said Mr. Young-Geul Choi, Director of Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) in India. “Indian travellers are back to travelling again and are looking forward to travel to some of their favourite international leisure destinations in the near future, including the hotspots in South Korea. We are thrilled to partner with Korea Tourism Organization as we, together, rollout a specially curated quiz on the variety of travel, cultural and entertainment experiences that the region has to offer to travel lovers” shared the Spokesperson at MakeMyTrip” To participate in the South Korea K-Quiz, one has to just visit MakeMyTrips travel platform on any device or the mobile application and find the contest banner. South Korea has already opened its borders for quarantine free inbound tourism for fully vaccinated tourist from some countries, regular travel between South Korea and India remains restricted for now. However, as the covid situation gets better globally and the rate of vaccination improves, tourism between the two countries may begin soon. *The final winner ‘Free Trip to South Korea’ voucher will have a validity of 1 year within which the winner will be able to avail the prize.
