    Korean Festival 2023 Kickstarts with Spectacular Gala Night Celebrating Cultural Bonds

    New Delhi, 26th August 2023: The Korea Tourism Festival kicked off with an enchanting gala night, celebrating cultural connections and vibrant experiences. This festive event not only strengthened cultural bonds but also marked 50 years of harmonious diplomacy between Korea and India. The event saw the presence of Mr. Younggeun Lee, Executive Director of Korea Tourism Organization and Roshan M. Thomas, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, underlining the importance of this cross-cultural collaboration.

    In a testament to the lasting cultural connection between the two nations, Indian Television Actress, Model, and Influencer, Anushka Sen, has been named the Honorary Ambassador of Korea Tourism from India. This appointment showcases the shared values and mutual respect between the two countries, promising exciting opportunities for deeper cultural exploration.

    A captivating moment of the evening was an exclusive presentation and tasting session of Korean temple food by Buddhist Nun & Grand Master Temple Food Guru Wookwan. This significant experience introduced the flavors of Korean temple cuisine to India for the first time.

    The Travel Mart event provided a unique opportunity for Indian travel agents and tour operators to interact with Korean tourism officials and industry leaders. The participants showcased a wide range of tourism products and services, including cultural experiences, accommodation options, transportation, and beauty and wellness offerings.

    Intensive business meetings and networking sessions took place during the event, fostering partnerships and promoting tourism exchanges between India and Korea. This initiative aimed to attract more Indian tourists to explore the diverse landscapes, historical sites, modern cities, and unique experiences that Korea has to offer.

    The festival also highlighted the growing interest in Korean temple food. Buddhist Nun & Grand Master Temple Food Guru Wookwan gave a presentation on the significance and philosophy behind Korean temple cuisine. Attendees had the opportunity to taste traditional Korean dishes, giving them a glimpse into the rich culinary heritage of Korea.

    With Anushka Sen as the Honorary Ambassador of Korea Tourism from India, the festival aimed to further enhance the cultural connection between the two countries.
