New Delhi – As the festival and winter holidays approach, Kerala Tourism has announced a range of new experiential products and packages designed to captivate both domestic and international travellers. The initiative reinforces Kerala’s position as a globally acclaimed, safe, and hospitable destination, blending its timeless attractions—such as backwaters, beaches, and hill stations—with new locales and immersive cultural experiences.

At a media session during the Network Kerala B2B Tourism Meet at Crowne Plaza, Okhla, Kerala Tourism Minister P A Mohamed Riyas emphasised the state’s pioneering approach to sustainable and inclusive tourism. “Kerala Tourism has made a paradigm shift, positioning itself as an inclusive, experiential, and regenerative destination offering diverse choices across the state,” he stated.
Tourist Information Officer S Sreekumar showcased Kerala’s expanding portfolio of unique experiences at the event, which connected Kerala’s tourism sellers with buyers from Delhi. The day concluded with a vibrant cultural performance, highlighting the state’s rich performing traditions.
Significantly, the tourist season coincides with the much-anticipated 6th edition of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, set to run from December 12, 2024, to March 31, 2026. The Biennale, one of the world’s major contemporary art festivals, will bring together artists from around the globe.

Kerala has also introduced a comprehensive Vision Document to guide tourism development, focusing on untapped potential in wellness, adventure, heritage, and spiritual tourism. The policy envisions a complete digital tourism ecosystem with smart ticketing, augmented/virtual reality experiences, and AI-driven analytics.
Freshly launched products have been well-received at tourism fairs across India and abroad. Earlier this month, Kerala hosted India’s first Travel Literary Festival, Yaanam 2025, in Varkala, attracting renowned travel writers and influencers who lauded its atmosphere and suggested making it an annual event.
Kerala has emerged as a leader in women-friendly tourism, encouraging solo and group travel for women through safety-focused policies and experiences rooted in local culture. Many packages are led by women entrepreneurs, contributing to an uptick in women travelers in recent months.

The state is also positioning itself as a prime choice for destination weddings and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions). In August, Kochi hosted a Wedding and MICE Conclave with global participation, highlighting Kerala’s blend of tradition, modernity, and natural beauty.
Further, Kerala’s globally recognized Responsible Tourism Mission continues to work with local communities to develop inclusive and sustainable destinations, while promoting popular activities from village walks and plantation visits to Ayurveda-based wellness stays and mountain treks.

Tourism, a vital contributor to Kerala’s economy, has seen a surge in visitor numbers, surpassing pre-pandemic figures. Physical infrastructure has been upgraded using sustainable design models, improving the aesthetic appeal of public assets.
With its strategic initiatives, diverse experiences, and global outlook, Kerala Tourism is set to offer travelers an unforgettable season of culture, nature, and hospitality.
