KEFI opens its doors in Versova, Andheri, offering a warm and thoughtfully designed all-day café where comfort food, elevated beverages, and meaningful moments come together. Conceptualised as a modern third space, KEFI is built on carefully crafted, in-house recipes and a welcoming atmosphere that encourages guests to slow down, connect, and return often.
The café draws its name from the Greek word kefi, meaning joy, passion, and the spirit of living in the moment, a philosophy that lies at the heart of the brand. Reflecting this vision, Monica Kapoor, Co-Founder and Creative Director, shares, “KEFI is about creating joy through food, space, and shared moments, a place people naturally return to.” Complementing this creative ethos, Aatif Khan, Co-Founder and Director of Business Strategy, adds, “For me, KEFI is about building a brand that lasts, one that grows thoughtfully, scales responsibly, and retains its soul at every stage.”
Designed as a seamless all-day dining destination, KEFI transitions effortlessly from relaxed breakfasts and quick coffee stops to work meetings, leisurely lunches, and comforting dinners. The menu celebrates modern café cuisine with global influences, featuring soulful, flavour-forward dishes that blend familiarity with finesse. Highlights include Khan’s Keema Pao, a deeply spiced, slow-cooked mince served with buttery pav; the KEFI Grilled Steak, perfectly seared and robust in flavour; Chef’s Shakshuka, where gently poached eggs rest in a rich, aromatic tomato base; the comforting Desi Chicken Curry, rooted in homely spices and slow cooking; and the indulgent Dark Desire Cake, a decadent finale layered with intense chocolate notes. The culinary direction is led by Monica Kapoor, whose approach focuses on elevating familiar favourites while retaining their comforting essence.
The beverage menu is equally considered, blending nostalgic favourites with contemporary creations. Highlights include the Retro Classic Cold Coffee, the bold Bloody Matcha, the refreshing Flirty Rose Iced Tea, the indulgent Sweet Kiss, and the nourishing Golden Glow Smoothie, each designed to complement KEFI’s relaxed, all-day rhythm.
