Bengaluru, 26 February 2025: The Karnataka International Travel Expo (KITE) made a grand return today as Karnataka Tourism inaugurated its second edition at the Taj West End in Bengaluru. Following the success of its inaugural event, KITE 2025 will take place from 26 to 28 February, positioning Karnataka as a vibrant global tourism destination.
Inaugurated by Chief Minister Sri. Siddaramaiah the event was attended by notable dignitaries in the presence of Union Minister of State for MSME and Employment Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, and Tourism Minister Sri H.K. Patil. The event also saw the participation of Sri Rizwan Arshad, Hon’ble MLA, along with other Members of Parliament, government officials, and industry representatives.
Organized by the Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, in partnership with the Karnataka Tourism Society, KITE 2025 aims to unite stakeholders from the tourism and hospitality industries to foster new partnerships and business opportunities. The event highlights Karnataka’s diverse offerings, which include its rich heritage, culture, adventure, wellness, and nature-based tourism.
Dr. Rajendra K.V. IAS, Director of the Department of Tourism, emphasized the expo as a vital platform to connect the global travel industry, stating it serves as a “catalyst for growth” in Karnataka’s tourism sector.

Adding to the message, Smt. Salma K. Fahim IAS, Secretary to the Government of Karnataka, highlighted tourism’s significant contribution to the state’s economy and job creation, affirming that KITE 2025 is crucial for positioning Karnataka as a top travel destination.
Minister Sri. H.K. Patil underscored the importance of connectivity for tourism growth and outlined the government’s commitment to enhancing amenities statewide through successful initiatives like the Shakti Scheme.
Speaking at the event, MLA Sri. Rizwan Arshad described Karnataka as a land of possibilities, inviting tourists to explore the state’s diverse offerings.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah unveiled the Tourism Policy 2025-2029, urging investors and industry professionals to collaborate in elevating Karnataka’s status in global tourism.
KITE 2025 promises several highlights, including B2B networking opportunities with over 400 hosted buyers, dedicated pavilions showcasing Karnataka’s iconic destinations, and evening programs celebrating local art, music, and cuisine. Major hospitality and tourism associations are lending their support to this key event.
By enhancing visibility and facilitating business opportunities, KITE 2025 is expected to bolster Karnataka’s tourism revenue and employment, drive investment in tourism infrastructure, and promote sustainable practices across the state.
