JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove Resort & Spa announces the appointment of Amrita Kaul Rawat as its new Director of Human Resources, further strengthening the resort’s leadership as it continues to elevate luxury hospitality experiences in the Himalayas.
A hospitality professional whose journey has been shaped by both operational excellence and an unwavering passion for people, Amrita brings over fifteen years of rich experience across some of Marriott International’s most distinguished hotels. Her career reflects a rare blend of strategic vision, empathetic leadership and a deep understanding that exceptional hospitality begins with empowered associates.
Before joining JW Marriott Mussoorie, Amrita served as the Human Resources Manager at Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites, where she championed initiatives that strengthened associate engagement, leadership development and organizational culture. Her Marriott journey also includes significant leadership roles at the iconic JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, where she progressed from Housekeeping leadership to Director of Services, following her instrumental contribution to the successful pre-opening of JW Marriott Aerocity in New Delhi. These experiences have equipped her with a holistic perspective on hospitality, one that seamlessly connects operational excellence with meaningful people experiences.
Throughout her career, Amrita has been recognized not only for driving business results but for building environments where people feel inspired to learn, grow and succeed. Whether leading organizational development, driving associate engagement initiatives or cultivating future leaders, she has consistently demonstrated that investing in people is the foundation of lasting success. Her contributions across Marriott properties in India and the UAE have earned recognition for advancing culture, sustainability initiatives and employee well-being, hallmarks of her collaborative and purpose-driven leadership style.
In her new role, Amrita will lead the resort’s Human Resources strategy, with a focus on talent development, leadership capability, diversity and inclusion, associate well-being and cultivating an engaging workplace culture that reflects the values of JW Marriott. She will work closely with the leadership team to continue building an environment where associates are empowered to deliver thoughtful, intuitive service that creates lasting memories for every guest.
