“One of my favourite travel memories is my first trip to the Jodhpur Marwari Horse Show in 2016 with my father, Jitendra Singh Rathore. It was a special occasion because I rode our homebred Marwari stallion, Jaidwaj, in his very first dressage test and around his first show jumping course. The first day was quite an adventure. Jaidwaj was full of energy and fascinated by all the unfamiliar horses around him, making it difficult for him to focus. However, as the show progressed, he settled in remarkably well and delivered a composed performance on the day of his dressage presentation. Looking back, it is incredible to see how far he has come.What began as a young horse’s first competition experience in Jodhpur eventually led to Jaidwaj making history in 2024 as the first Marwari horse to compete in an international CDI1 dressage competition.
