ITC Hotels Limited announced the signing of a management agreement for a 101-key Welcomhotel by ITC Hotels in the Karai area of Gandhinagar. This development further enhances ITC Hotels’ footprint in Gujarat—one of India’s fastest-growing industrial hubs while strengthening the Welcomhotel brand’s presence across the state capital and emerging financial cities.

The hotel will feature well-appointed guest rooms and suites, an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, and a coffee lounge, —offering diverse and elevated culinary experiences. Set within 9 acres of land, the hotel will provide for over 10,000 square feet of indoor banqueting and event space, complemented by expansive 46,000 square feet of landscaped outdoor lawns. The hotel is ideally positioned to host destination weddings, large social gatherings, and corporate events.

Anil Chadha, Managing Director, ITC Hotels Limited, said, “Gujarat continues to witness sustained growth in tourism, driven by strong infrastructure development, improved connectivity, and growing interest in cultural, spiritual, and leisure travel. Welcomhotel Karai Gandhinagar, with its strategic connectivity and evolving destination appeal, will play a key role in enhancing our network across business, leisure, and the MICE segments, delivering premium hospitality experiences rooted in local ethos.”

Kamleshkumar Babulal Chauhan, Partner, M/s Shyam Group Hotel and Resort, said, “We are pleased to associate with ITC Hotels Limited to introduce the Welcomhotel brand in Gandhinagar city. This collaboration reflects our shared vision of creating a high-quality destination that caters to both leisure travellers and large-format social events. With ITC Hotels’ strong brand equity and expertise in hospitality, we are confident this new hotel will set benchmarks in the region and will contribute to the next decade of development in Gujarat.”

Strategically situated in Karai area, between Gandhinagar business area and Ahmedabad, the hotel enjoys a distinct locational advantage, with seamless access to Ahmedabad Airport, GIFT City, and key sporting and business hubs. Karai is steadily emerging as a promising micro destination, offering a balance of accessibility and new developments. The upcoming Welcomhotel will open this year and is envisioned to deliver a refined hospitality experience that seamlessly blends contemporary comfort with the region’s local character.

This signing further reinforces ITC Hotels’ strategy of building a strong presence in markets with evolving demand and long-term growth potential.
