India, August 7, 2024: The Israel Ministry of Tourism, India (IMOT) participated as the Feature Country at the recently concluded India International Travel Mart (IITM), organised by Sphere Media in Bengaluru with a commitment to further strengthen its position in India, IMOT showcased its multifaceted experience in tourism during the three-day event held from 26th to 28th July 2024 Amid positive sentiments, IMOT engaged with travel trade partners, media houses and aspiring travellers at the exhibition.

Sphere Media also held a post-event award show on 28th July 2024, where the Israel Ministry of Tourism was bestowed with the award for “Bespoke Cultural Experience Product”, which was received by Amruta Bangera, Director of Marketing, Israel Ministry of Tourism, India.

Speaking about the Indian market and their participation in the trade fair, Amruta Bangera said, “It was truly exciting to engage with trade partners, tourism industry stakeholders, travel enthusiasts, and the media at IITM Bengaluru this year. Whether they are seeking a blend of history, culture, and culinary experiences, or embarking on meaningful pilgrimages, we have seen a consistent preference for Israel among Indian tourists, given the country offers something unique for everyone. We deeply value our relationship with Indian travellers and are committed to ensuring that Israel remains a safe, welcoming, and enriching destination for all.”

At the Israel pavilion, visitors explored a range of experiences, from the holy sites of Jerusalem to the vibrant nightlife of Tel Aviv. With a roadmap in place to position itself as a leisure destination, whilst aiming to strengthen pilgrimage travel, IMOT showcased a vivid picture of adventures – trekking across the Negev Desert’s sun-kissed dunes, lush oases of Ein Gedi and Timna Park, and the wonders of the dead sea. Israel also presented cutting-edge facilities, hospitality infrastructure and state-of-the-art venues, positioning itself in the MICE segment.

With its successful participation at IITM Bengaluru, Israel has reaffirmed its commitment to the Indian market, inviting adventurers, pilgrims, and avid travellers to discover this wonderful country.
