    Decoding the changing paradigms in the Speciality Beverage Industry, the Indian School of Hospitality (ISH) , part of Sommet Education, successfully hosted the Concocting Conclave. The event served as a platform for hospitality and culinary professionals, students, and industry experts to explore the rapidly transforming Speciality Beverage segment and the distinctive career opportunities associated with it.

    The conclave featured a panel discussion on the paradigm shift in the Speciality Beverage space, moderated by

    Sommelier Kriti Malhotra Assitant Director – Hospitality Studies, Indian School of Hospitality. The eminent panel comprised:

    * Angad Soni, Founder, Sepoy & Co.

    * Pushpesh Pant, Indian Academic, Food Critic and Historian

    * Shweta Pundir, Director, The Gig Pool

    * Pradeep Gidwani, Independent Advisor and Industry Thought Leader

    * Raja Mukherji, Director of Simba Management Consultant Pvt Ltd

    The discussion highlighted the rising potential of the Speciality Beverage industry, the growing involvement of young women, and the significance of internships and graduate trainee programs. The panel touched upon the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on drinking habits and the growing confidence among Indian brands in returning to cultural roots.

    The conclave incorporated masterclasses and diverse competitions, including Mixology, Voice It Out, and Beverage Wizards, providing opportunities for future hospitality leaders to demonstrate their skills.

    Dilip Puri, Founder & CEO of the Indian School of Hospitality, emphasized the importance of responsible drinking and the unique opportunity the Concocting Conclave offers to explore the Speciality Beverage industry in depth.

    The event’s focus on knowledge sharing and white paper formulation highlighted its dedication to advancing the industry through research, collaboration, and innovation.
