In a significant gesture of appreciation, visa processing platform Atlys has announced a lifetime waiver on its service charges for all active Indian defence personnel. Effective May 14, serving members of the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and paramilitary forces will no longer be required to pay visa booking service fees on the platform.

The announcement was made by Atlys CEO Mohak Nahta in a LinkedIn post, where he stated, “A small gesture, for a service we can never repay. For every soldier who’s stood post at 2 AM, missed festivals or skipped goodbyes – it’s the least we could do.”

According to Atlys, the waiver is applicable across all visa categories offered on the platform. However, the benefit is extended exclusively to the personnel themselves and does not include family members such as spouses, children, or parents.

This move by Atlys is being widely lauded as a respectful acknowledgement of the sacrifices made by India’s uniformed forces.
