11th February, 20204, New Delhi: The fifth edition of Imagine Fest took place on February 10 and 11, 2024, at PSOI Club, Nehru Park in the national capital. This highly anticipated festival provided a fulfilling weekend for art enthusiasts and cultural connoisseurs.
The festival aimed to redefine accessibility to art by not only making it visually appealing but also truly attainable for all. Renowned and up-and-coming artists from all over India gathered to present a diverse array of works, providing a platform for both established and emerging talents. The festival carefully curated a fusion of traditional and contemporary art forms, highlighting the rich heritage of India. This ensured both diversity and quality, offering attendees an unparalleled showcase of artistic excellence.
The theme of this year’s festival was ‘India’s rich culture and how it influences the world stage.’ The festival featured over 40 art galleries, including prestigious names such as Dhoomimal Gallery, Art Magnum, Easel Stories, and Galerie Art Eterne. Prominent artists, including Reenu Khandelwal, Pankaj Bhawdekar, and Ruki Chatterjee, showcased their work. An art walk by eminent figure Manu Mansheet Rai also took place, further enhancing the festival experience.
One of the highlights of the festival was the Open Air Art Fair, where a boulevard of trees was transformed into a stunning exhibition space. Artworks with prices ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 5,00,000 were displayed, attracting attendees with varying budgets and preferences. In addition to the art exhibition, the festival also featured great musical performances and various entertaining events.
For food enthusiasts, the festival offered a ‘Palette of Palate’ experience, with over 10 of Delhi’s premier cafes, delis, and dessert houses ready to tantalize taste buds and elevate the overall festival experience.
Various participants also praised the festival’s platform. Monika Sharda, Director of JCCA art gallery in Jaipur, commented, “It has been a wonderful platform, and we are really happy to be here.” Jyotirmoy Bhattacharya, an independent Art Curator, Writer, and Consultant, expressed his appreciation for the festival and the opportunity to showcase the works of artist Subhendu Sarkar and Suranjana Sen in his exhibition ‘Melodies of Life’.
